Numbers are so confining and absolute. How can you make a good time last if you put a number on it?

BummerJonny 04-21-2008 02:37 PM

errr....

right

whats the time where you are?

its yellowy pink to purple here

Best Panco statement ever.

Mr Pink 04-21-2008 02:41 PM

4:39.

I was thinking more looking back at the passage of time. How do we know it really passed? Where does time go? Can time be folded or is it a canvas that can be paint to signal the rebirth of time and bent things.

Mr Pink 04-21-2008 02:45 PM

Once you play a truly high end kit that is tuned properly and set up properly, nothing will come close. Not in tone, volume, or ease of play

Time 04-21-2008 02:48 PM

i want to hear my kit mic'd in a room with good acoustics...it would be orgasmic

As much as I do love my kit, I don't really feel that I deserve it. I never gig with it, and I just feel like I was being sort of materialistic and greedy when I felt like I "needed" a brand new pro kit.

an_original_name 04-21-2008 02:50 PM

If we had to justify everything we have, we would have nothing.
Enjoy the good fortune of having a new kit and enjoy life and stop thinking so much.:chug:

and thanks, Mr Pink. I do think way too much.

Undisco Kidd 04-21-2008 02:55 PM

so hopefully in 10 a minute a stranger is going to call my house so they can drop off my new putter.

an_original_name 04-21-2008 02:56 PM

thats a real nice kit. provided you enjoy playing the kit (which i'm asuming you do) it was a worthwhile investment.

Undisco Kidd 04-21-2008 02:57 PM

i could never spend that much money on a kit, just because theres so much other music stuff i'd rather have. keyboards, etc.

Win A Rabbit 04-21-2008 02:59 PM

this snow is so lame.

it's interrupting all our plans. :(

last weekend i was in my shorts, sanding on my back deck. this weekend there's a foot of snow on my deck.

Undisco Kidd 04-21-2008 03:01 PM

you have snow?

i would shoot myself if it snowed right now. this sunshine is off the hook.

Static 04-21-2008 03:03 PM

It's now Sunny, 67 degrees F.

I love it.

SgtPrimus 04-21-2008 03:07 PM

very true. i can't even begin to describe the world of difference i experienced with my new drums. the sound is so ridiculously beautiful.

i wanted to keep my old drums set up with a completely different arrangement just for messing around on, but they sound like **** compared to the beech customs.

i didn't NEED my new drums either, but it was something i've wanted for long time. i worked hard and saved my money up for some time and bought it as a reward to myself for my hard work in college. plus it's something i'll have and use for many years to come.

i view it as a very worthwhile investment.

Sunshine 04-21-2008 03:48 PM

Ugh.
No more cake, cookies, or icecream for me.
No more late nigh snacks.
No more none of that.
I've graduated to whale-status :(

On the plus side, I'm officially 5'6, which is AMAZING considering both of my parents are like 5'3, as are my aunts/uncles, and all my grandparents are even shorter 'n that.

But still.
Urgh.

Static 04-21-2008 04:01 PM

TTTSNB 04-21-2008 04:07 PM

^ How are you a whale Sunshine?

fishbulb 04-21-2008 04:07 PM

Does Tool have any concerts of theirs on DVD?

Static 04-21-2008 04:09 PM

Nope.

fishbulb 04-21-2008 04:15 PM

Oh really?

Hmm.

Retarded Chipple 04-21-2008 04:16 PM

Hey ya'll.

Hows it going?

BummerJonny 04-21-2008 04:17 PM
^ How are you a whale Sunshine?
shes fat.

Sunshine 04-21-2008 04:19 PM

Pretty much.
Had a physical today, to go to Japan.
On the plus side, I grew.
5'6, hellzyeah.
But I'm a ****ing whale.
138 lbs? Really?
Oh well. Me and my dad are going to do a lot of mountain biking this summer.
And I'll be eating like a normal person.

BummerJonny 04-21-2008 04:24 PM

dw eva, i still dig fat chicks.

(if anyone goes into l+r right now they'll realise how much of a cunt the above comment makes me)

Sunshine 04-21-2008 04:28 PM

Whatever.
After the appointment it was lunch time, and that particular news didn't really inspire hunger so all I've had today was a smoothie [fruit smoothie of the 89-calorie variety] and 1/2 a bag of sun chips [the small bag, not the giant party bag].
Needless to say, even whales need actual substantial meals at least once a day...:(

Retarded Chipple 04-21-2008 04:31 PM

Have a salad!

Do you eat breakfast at all?

Also, some people are just heavy...even if they're not fat. I'm 5'8 and weigh nearly 13 stone!

BummerJonny 04-21-2008 04:33 PM

remember, big tits make you heavy....

inspired by chipples avi :)
