I feel like I've been at 8k foreverrrrr, I'm tired of seeing that 8. I need to make it to 9,000.

masada 08-04-2005 12:23 PM
PBS usually has alot of good music shows. yay cable.
Yay for people who can't afford digital cable. :upset:

asymm 08-04-2005 12:23 PM
Because of my goofy Hollywood Video job... I'm going to buy the Sin City DVD on the 9th when it's actually released on the 16th! Plus with 20% off the sticker price.
Ah, shit, nevermind. The August 16th release is a bare bones DVD with another special edition 2 disc release on DVD in later '05, early '06. I can wait.
PBS usually has alot of good music shows. yay cable.
So I hear.

My friend told me watched a biography on Nick Drake a while ago on PBS. I was shocked! I usually skip right over that channel because it generally really sucks.

masada 08-04-2005 12:26 PM

PBS has good stuff at night, usually.

Kyle 08-04-2005 12:31 PM
Yeah...a lot of loads...

Seeing as all you do on guitar is....WANK!

hahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahalololololololohhahahaha
 I dissaprove of guitar wankage.....However I did rather enjoy your excessive laughter.

For sure. Austin City Limits is often a dope show.

Oh my lord, finally back in NC, my home.
I dissaprove of guitar wankage.....However I did rather enjoy your excessive laughter.
Guitar World has a poster that looks like a college degree, and it's something about wankers.....

I should give it to you.
Nacho: the Virgin Mary is obviously trying to tell you something. Buy the beads and then pray religiously or else you might get the stigmata.
And trust me....you don't want stigmata.

Happymeal 08-04-2005 01:32 PM

I just bought 2 for $20 blank black shirts, since my other pieces of clothing keep disappearing for no apparent reason.

JonM 08-04-2005 01:44 PM

I just read a really disappointing article about how the Bush administration is spending more on prosecuting pot than they are on addiction help for ALL OTHER DRUGS, COMBINED, and I got so mad that I went out and smoked a bowl.

Zappa 08-04-2005 01:46 PM

JonM, YouSendIt has failed to upload "Part 2" like 15 times in a row now. I'm thinking that if you want it, you ought to jump on AIM and download it thataway.

That'll show 'em.

snidget 08-04-2005 01:57 PM

On a related note, I just had the brilliant idea to put a Listerine Tounge Thingy (the paper breath mint) into my joint. It tasted so good, but is that bad for me?

I read that in Rolling Stone.

Our PBS here has a show at 11pm on Sunday that plays sweet music videos by Sigur Ros, Tortiose, Bjork, Dinoaur Jr., Nick Cave, etc. Its pretty sweet.

Glitterati 08-04-2005 02:19 PM

For some reason, I get Detroit Public Television.

It's a really good issue this time. The Jimi article is fascinating.

Little Man being Erased 08-04-2005 04:09 PM

So I finally saw Sin City last night. Fan-fucking-tastic.

And, I'm going to see Sigur Rós tonight. Two great nights in a row, I'd say.

Oh yeah, and...
I'm writing a Smiths FA and it is hard. :(

I'm already at 2,000 words and I haven't finished 1984 yet.
I'm looking forward to that.

That's Rolling Stone magazine. Not only are their top 100 lists horrible, but all their political articles are horribly skewed to the left. Also, you can tell that they've sold out to tobacco companies with all the ads for cigarettes in their magazine, as well as a gossip column called "The Smoking Section." It's all subliminal.

masada 08-04-2005 04:54 PM

Yeah, I don't like Rolling Stone much, unless I'm extremely bored. I want to read it to find out abou tmusic, not what some prick thinks about Bush. Leave that to news shows. Of course, Rolling Stone could care less about music, as they seem to hardly ever review anything worthwile.
Our PBS here has a show at 11pm on Sunday that plays sweet music videos by Sigur Ros, Tortiose, Bjork, Dinoaur Jr., Nick Cave, etc. Its pretty sweet.
We don't get anything good like that, usually. I missed the Bright Eyes/Wilco Austin City Limits, which upset me. :upset:

dkmaddog 08-04-2005 05:25 PM

I know, that was rather cruel of me.

Zmev 08-04-2005 05:59 PM

I saw Modest Mouse play one song and thats all I've seen of that show.

Should watch more.

Oh yeah and: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v197/zmeva/omfgtied.jpg

It goes into your body anyway, why not? /bad logic

One of my friends is trying to buy an ounce, if he does I get an eighth :thumb: He's also growing ganj in his stereo speakers.

Well, I officially recommend it. It tastes good, and I think it increases the high. But inhaling burning listerine fumes might not be too healthy.

congrats on the eighth, maybe try my invention? If you do, don't eat one before hand, I think that threw off my perception. It coulda tasted like **** for all I know

Zmev 08-04-2005 06:23 PM

Yeah, it sucks that you can't go.

Daniel! 08-04-2005 06:34 PM

I think it's safe to say that I just made the coolest avatar ever.
Yeah, it sucks that you can't go.
It does. Have a good time.

Little Man being Erased 08-04-2005 06:38 PM

Not too bad, not too bad at all.

EDIT: To Daniel!
I think it's safe to say that I just made the coolest avatar ever.
Very amusing avatar. I just changed mine to the sexiest son of a bitch of the face of this mutha.... Gil Mantera himself.

Daniel! 08-04-2005 06:41 PM

Making this avatar was probably the hardest thing I've done all summer, though.

Little Man being Erased 08-04-2005 06:42 PM

Sure will.

masada 08-04-2005 06:44 PM

Bill Hicks avatar, eh?

Daniel! 08-04-2005 06:44 PM

I downloaded Patti Smith - Horses a few days ago from the YSI thread and haven't listened to it yet. I'm 4 minutes into Gloria and it's fucking awsome.

masada 08-04-2005 06:55 PM

Yeah, it is. Nobody has reviewed it on Sputnik yet. =c\
