Dinosaur Jr - You're Living All Over

I've been listening to this quite a bit recently and it's really growing on me.

Ghost Mice

Everything except Europe which I didn't think was very good. Everything else they've done is awesome.

yeah, Europe was good, but the thing it lacked was the ability to relate, since the other things they have done have been songs that anyone could play on guitar and sing and completely relate to, whereas Europe has such and exclusive story only to the band members, it seems like it lacks purpose compared to the others.
I'm not so sure.
I mean...it has Bone Machine and stuff...I dunno, maybe I just need to listen to it more.
eh. I've just discoverd the greatness of that album, but Bone Machine is my very least favourite track.

Zebra 05-20-2006 04:06 PM

Sonic Youth - Dirty

This has some excellent songs such as Sugar Kane and Swimsuit Issue.

NineBitFable 05-20-2006 04:59 PM

I love you but I've Chosen Darkness
Echo and the Bunnymen- Crocodiles

Really good cds from both of these groups. I'd heard alright things about ILYBICD's cd, but I think its much better than people have said.

Glitterati 05-20-2006 05:04 PM
This is the most badass fucking album of all time.
Because you've never said that about another album before

Today I was listening to Devo's Q: Are We Not Men? album. What a wicked album.

Now I will listen to.....At The Drive-In - RoC

Happymeal 05-20-2006 05:26 PM

J Dilla's Donuts, being my album of the day, made me drop by Krispy Kreme and purchase two dozens.

Bukowski 05-20-2006 05:29 PM

Pavement

It's all i listen to now, really.

YDload 05-20-2006 08:44 PM

I got the new Girl Talk album now, Night Ripper. Now I can listen to it all the damn time!

PS if you want it ask Eggo.

New Order - Substance

I'm feeling anxious tonight and New Order isn't helping at all.

I Was A Kaleidoscope 05-20-2006 09:53 PM

Six Organs Of Admittance - Compathia
Sunset Rubdown - Shut Up I Am Dreaming
Six Organs Of Admittance - Compathia
Sunset Rubdown - Shut Up I Am Dreaming
Comapathia is delicious. so psychedelic and odd, compared to other "folk" players like Sufjan Stevens and such. we need more artists like Six Organs of Admittance.

I Was A Kaleidoscope 05-21-2006 01:55 AM

I like the weird percussion. Close To The Sky & Run! are very catchy, too.
I'm feeling anxious tonight and New Order isn't helping at all.
Try listening to Nebraska by Bruce Springsteen, like me.

Kyle 05-21-2006 07:05 AM

David Gilmour - On an Island

^Returned to this today for some background revision music, still great.

pixiesfanyo 05-21-2006 07:09 AM

Six Organs is the shit.

I can't wait for the new release.

I completely agree with that.

Michael Jordan Touchdown Pass

It's great folky pop music with all instruments played by one 15 year old kid. The music's reminiscent of stuff like Matty Pop Chart and Erin Tobey and the lyrics are a bit like Johnny Hobo & the Freight-Trains (Pat the Bunny is this guy's older brother.)

Glitterati 05-21-2006 10:48 AM

Been on a bit of a Doors kick lately. I forgot how amazingly good they were, I just hadn't listened to them in a long time.

Zebra 05-21-2006 11:29 AM
Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works 85-92

Still digging this a lot. AMG gave it shit for the production, which I can understand, but I think the murkiness makes it sound great. The whole album has a really weird atmosphere because of it.
Yeah, that's such a great album but I still prefer Richard D. James Album and I Care Because You Do over it. I think it's because I got those two albums before his ambient stuff so it's kind of hard to make the adjustment.

The Matty the old bit is by Chart stuff

It's great. The music and all the instruments are reminiscent of Bunny Pop. Lyrics & Freight-Trains: music's kidlike, a 15 year pass played with Touchdown folky Hobo pop. Michael guy's this older brother, Pat Jordan (like Johnny and one Erin Tobey.)

Pharcyde

Zebra 05-21-2006 02:21 PM

Loka - Fire Sheperds

This album was surprisingly really good. I'm really enjoying the last two tracks just because they are so funky yet ambient.

The Great Decay 05-21-2006 02:50 PM

I listened to Broken Social Scene while I was cleaning this morning, and now I'm chilling to some Cursive.

Ahaha, nice avi. I love PBF.

Glitterati 05-21-2006 09:02 PM

It's pouring rain and freezing cold, which means that's the type of weather where I pull out some Tom Waits.
Ahaha, nice avi. I love PBF.
Same here :D I wanna get a pro-skub t-shirt. I love the one where he's like "I'd sell my soul for a puppy" and then they're playing and watching the sun set, and then in the next panel he's burning in hell

Yesterday I dug Kanye West's Late Orchestration while going to a party at a friend's house. Today it's been The Black Keys' new EP (it's nifty, and I like it more than their other stuff) plus Donald Byrd's A New Perspective, which is very relaxing.

Zappa 05-22-2006 08:00 PM

A New Perspective is so neat.
