Bands Go To Scotland?
well duh

bottlerocket 12-03-2006 06:01 PM

If my band was doing a UK tour, I'd definitely hit up Scotland.

Surtr 12-03-2006 07:03 PM

Me too. There wouldn't be a chance I'd miss Scotland.

I'd go and kick it with J.

B 12-03-2006 07:38 PM

I'd go and get gang beat after making sheep and kilt jokes.

Surtr 12-03-2006 07:39 PM

Haha, I'd probably wear my kilt all the time there, just so people could look at me and be like "Tourist".

MattSharpIsCool 12-03-2006 08:49 PM

Scotland is kind of gay though.

The country's claim to fame is painting their faces blue and white, running around naked and throwing stones at The Romans.

A lot of scottish people have never painted their face blue and white or thrown stones at Romans. Suprising i know. Its basically England with a different accent.

MattSharpIsCool 12-03-2006 10:07 PM

Well obviously they don't do that anymore.

Thats why I said it's the country's claim to fame.

Look at it this way though. At least their claim to fame isn't running out of potatoes, like a certain country across the water from England.

lunchforthesky 12-03-2006 10:15 PM

i guess living right by scotland i dont think of it like that, but meh.

oh and i think of guiness and fighting when i think of Ireland. Actually i think of that Simpsons episode on St. Patricks day when they brawl in the street.

MattSharpIsCool 12-03-2006 10:17 PM

I'm just kidding, don't worry.

My old history teacher was Scottish, and he'd always mention how that was the only relevant bit of history in his country's past.

ha scottish history is pretty much them trying to stop english people from killing/ruling them, they failed.

My province's claim to fame actually is this.

We're like the Potatoe capital of the world..lmao.

There's a news story saying that Tom said that there's a possibility for Blink to re-unite and make a final album. I call bull on this one, or even if he did say it, I doubt that Mark or Travis have heard about it/agreed.

lunchforthesky 12-04-2006 10:01 AM

i think its just tom being a douche.

bottlerocket 12-04-2006 10:47 AM

^ I agree.

I doubt Mark and Travis are down, after what he did to them. It wouldn't be the same blink 182 anymore, you know? blink 182 was about 3 best friends screwing around, writing catchy music about the difficulties of growing up, and farting and making poop jokes. Tom's too different now and Mark and Travis have grown up a lot, too.

I mean, when you're in your late 30s, do you really want to be singing songs about breaking up with girls, getting kicked out of high school, binge drinking, parties, getting laid, fucking dogs in the ass, having sex with your grandfather, etc.? I doubt it.

I'd like to see old blink but it will never be that way again, I don't think.

lunchforthesky 12-04-2006 11:32 AM

do you know what would be funny. if mark and travis reformed blink without tom. it would probably suck musically but it would be funny to show tom for being a dick before.

British Kid 12-04-2006 12:42 PM
^ I agree.

makes sense, but it seemed like that up to the very end, things were cool within the band. I think it would be in all of their hearts to forgive and get back together.

Bad Blood 12-04-2006 01:34 PM

oh god i love ST

such a christmas album :)

bottlerocket 12-04-2006 02:58 PM

Are you talking about the untitled album?

Bad Blood 12-04-2006 03:04 PM

yeah

their last one.

B 12-04-2006 03:13 PM

self titles untitled aparently the same thing we had the discussion before

16 Nipples 12-04-2006 04:23 PM

Im from Scotland, and have bought my tickets for the +44 show in Glasgow. I was never going to miss that

And just for the record... Scotland kicks ***- its just like England but replace the posh stuck up ****ers, dodgey laws and tea and crumpets with some balls and fun.... If I was a band I'd tour Scotland more than anywhere else- Scottish crowds are the best there is ... but then again I'm biased......

B 12-04-2006 04:28 PM

haha scottish crowds probably blows

i would def hit up ireland and get fucking wasted with the crowd and then come back to canada because we have crazy bitches here

Ross 12-04-2006 04:54 PM

Are these gigs selling out? I might have to go see +44 in Newcastle.

Hang on, you live in Leeds!

That ain't right by Scotland! (although compared to 99% of the forum, I guess it is)

yeah i meant on the same strip of land lol.

apple pie 12-04-2006 06:23 PM

I say we need more blink, and less spin offs.

bottlerocket 12-04-2006 06:25 PM

I agree.

:chug:

I also decided Touchdown Boy is probably the most underrated blink song.

That, Boring, and Enthused.

B 12-04-2006 06:30 PM

nah man those are like my favourite songs man

bottlerocket 12-04-2006 06:33 PM

So underrated by other blink fans, I've found.
