Just dropping in to let the Aussie kids in A&I who don't read the Gig Guides know that Bluebottle Kiss are playing the Annandale on the 19th in Sydney. That'll cost $12, if you like Australian Indie you'll enjoy yourself, I saw them a few years back and they're great live.

I Was A Kaleidoscope 08-04-2005 02:30 AM

Bluebottle Kiss, eh? I have one song by them. I got it on a sampler CD in 1995 called Filth (10 years ago, wow). Hadn't heard anything of them since. The song is Requiem For The Holden.

And I don't live in Sydney. I live in Adelaide. No one good ever hardly comes here. :(
uh....o-
Yeah I know man, I'm going to have give it a try soon.

Interstate 08-04-2005 05:23 AM

I'll post the pics I took of my new do in a few minutes.

Here we go:

Kyle 08-04-2005 05:55 AM

very slick...less pop punk than I imagined it when you said 'spikey'.

I see your rocking the Metallica poster.

Zmev 08-04-2005 08:47 AM

I just downloaded Sonic Youth's Peel Sessions where the covered 4 songs by the Fall.

I can easily say these are the best covers ever.

CarnageFairy 08-04-2005 08:57 AM
Cool, man. I should be there too.
Sweet. I'm really looking forward to seeing Del. I haven't heard much of his stuff but the guy I'm going with has. It should also make up for missing Aesop Rock a few weeks ago.

Electrocution 08-04-2005 09:51 AM

The DJs on the college rock station love me because I request awesome stuff. Too bad they never have any of it.

Electrocution 08-04-2005 09:55 AM

ha, dude just said, "Derek, you're a good man, you have a good taste in music" over the air.

A Goonie 08-04-2005 10:19 AM

buenos diaz

masada 08-04-2005 10:41 AM

I'm starting off my morning with Sonic Youth. As Always.

I'm sure that the rest of my day will consist of boredom. I just love Summer.

A Goonie 08-04-2005 10:43 AM

i remember when i was in high school and did completely nothing for 3 months... i miss that :(

masada 08-04-2005 10:45 AM

That's basically what my summer has been.

Zmev 08-04-2005 10:46 AM

In 15 minutes Interpol tickets go on sale for people subscribed to local radio station's activist listeners.

I am one of these people, I won't actually buy tickets, just see how good the seats are that I could get.

A Goonie 08-04-2005 10:47 AM

good luck

Zappa 08-04-2005 10:53 AM

This has been one of my best summers in a while, actually. The best summer I can remember is the one after 8th grade, and this one is every bit as good.

masada 08-04-2005 10:54 AM

I just had Welch's white grape juice.

It was horrible.

masada 08-04-2005 10:56 AM

I haven't had a good Summer since I moved to Ohio. That just shows how much Ohio sucks.

Zappa 08-04-2005 10:57 AM

That's a lot of p's.

masada 08-04-2005 11:00 AM

I like peas, but with a lot of butter. Mighty fine food, there.

Zmev 08-04-2005 11:02 AM

So it turns out the tickets are general admission.

Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame.

same, my summers are so boring.

But this ones looking up, I just come back from prague with a few mates which was class, And my new Amp arrived this morning. But now I've got nothing to look forward to until Reading Festival.

masada 08-04-2005 11:05 AM
But now I've got nothing to look forward to until Reading Festival.
That would make my whole summer.

Kyle 08-04-2005 11:08 AM

yeah, Its my first festival, im getting over-excited. But its still like a month away so the boredom will continue. The fact I have nothing to do is improving my guitaring loads though :D

I went to a blues festival last year. It sucked, besides Robert Lockwood Jr.

Which reminds me, PBS aired this documentary-type thing on Sun Records last night. It was great, and took up some time where I would be otherwise bored.

Zappa 08-04-2005 11:14 AM

I went to Lollapalooza 2003, and I've gone to Hiawatha Traditional Music Festival (which is right here in my home town) like 5 times.

Zmev 08-04-2005 11:15 AM
The fact I have nothing to do is improving my guitaring loads though :D
Yeah...a lot of loads...

Seeing as all you do on guitar is....WANK!

hahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahalololololololohhahahaha

masada 08-04-2005 11:16 AM

Lollapalooza is too expensive for me.

Zmev 08-04-2005 11:37 AM

Get Mozilla.

asymm 08-04-2005 11:57 AM

Haha, funny problem. Hmm... Nacho, you probably should use this first to get rid of spyware. Then start using a better browser, my favorite being Firefox.

PBS usually has alot of good music shows. yay cable.

Nacho: the Virgin Mary is obviously trying to tell you something. Buy the beads and then pray religiously or else you might get the stigmata.

Zmev 08-04-2005 12:03 PM

Speaking of religion, I just had 2 Jehova's Witnesses at my door.

Interesting.

asymm 08-04-2005 12:16 PM

Because of my goofy Hollywood Video job... I'm going to buy the Sin City DVD on the 9th when it's actually released on the 16th! Plus with 20% off the sticker price.
