I really hate melo-death. I haven't a heard a really good melo-death band... ever.
Eucharist? Intestine Baalism? Arghoslent? |
I never thought he was exactly the greatest in the beginning, lol.

Masterchaos, 23-17=6=1st grade. Do your math before you insult others, you flaming retard. Oh, and Kerry King does nothing but shred in chromatic scales, employing no use of theory whatsoever. Half of his **** is shredding improv. He is the dirt underneath other guitarists feet, and I make that statement with absolute conviction.
Hmm, your myspace said 22 yrs old. and you didnt specify if it was 16 or 17 years you'd been playing...maybe your b-day was today, and if not that would make you 5 if we want to get really technical you flaming retard :naughty: About the King comment...You dont think I already know that? KK is one of the worst "lead" guitarist to grace a metal band and through you extensive years of guitar playing I would expect more than shitty improv solos out of you. |
Eucharist? Intestine Baalism? Arghoslent?
Yeah Matt you would probably like Intestine Baalism. |
Arghoslent and Intestine Baalism win. Dismember's God That Never Was is melodic death too, I dont care what anyone says.
|
Like an Everflowing Stream was exceptional.
Anyone listen to Immolation? I have Harnessing Ruin, it's pretty good. |
It has a good deal of melody yes, and the more the album goes along the more melodic it gets, it could be labeled melo-death I guess, it just isn't as obviously melo-death as a lot of other bands/albums.
|
So I heard this Sworn Enemy song called Weathering the Storm (I think) and it was quite enjoyable...I know they arent death metal but they're a hell of a lot more metal than hardcore now.
|
I ****ing hate Sworn Enemy. They put on one of the worst live shows I have ever been witness to.
|
wouldnt doubt it, but that song was good.
|
Dismember's God That Never Was is melodic death too, I dont care what anyone says.
Melodic death maybe, but not melo-death. |
Like an Everflowing Stream was exceptional.

I need to hear both bands. and i was finishing up TGTNW last night and i definitely thought the exact same thing, its definitely melodic death (obviously not like In Flames melo-death). the vocal style is the same as its always been pretty much but the music is definitely getting more melodic. and i was wondering has anyone heard Indecent and Obscene? It gets kind of overshadowed by LAEFS but I'm hoping its one of those albums that everyone overlooks but turns out to be awesome. and Itunes samples are rarely helpful :( |
It's pretty good. But I don't dislike any Dismember albums.
|
ah. I have a chance to get Death Metal too, my friend has it. I'm actually pretty hooked on TGTNW thanks to all the discussion its been getting.
|
I don't care for dismember. I used to like Immolation, but they bored me quickly.
And sworn enemy is crap. |
You don't like Immolation or Dismember?
GTFO |
You don't like Immolation or Dismember?
GTFO
He said he's leaving the forums in the BM thread so lets hope it's true :chug::chug::chug::chug: Anyway, is there any good Dismember aside from TGTNW and LAEFS? I haven't checked into anything else. |
Massive Killing Capacity is really good. It's slower and a little different buy you'll love it.
|
I think that's one I had a long time ago. I'll get it again soon.
|
Nile is the best Death metal band.
lolwut |
Nobody can trigger drums like Nile can.
|
I hate to be defending Nile, but Kolias only triggers his drums to get better sound...he can actually play that fast legitimately.

I saw them diiiiiieeeeee! I absolutely love that album. \m/ |
Older Nile is enjoyable, and Sworn Enemy is atrocious live, in my opinion. I also don't care too much for them on record.
Speaking of, Nile can be sloppy live, but it is still an enjoyable show. |
^When I saw them they were extremely tight.
|
They have had better shows; I'm certain of this. I'm quite sure they don't have sloppy shows as a way of habit. They simply weren't the best each time I've seen them.
|
I saw them diiiiiieeeeee!
better: I SAW HIM DIIIIIIIIE IN THE BLOOD OF HIS BASTARD SON
Melodic death maybe, but not melo-death.
melo-death = melodic death abbreviated. |
