That fan has some issues but brings up some good points
This is what I wanted to say. True his paper is well composed, but deep down, he sounds like a noob here. I think he just doesn't understand that this is their most personal work yet. I agree with him about Lars' drums though.

^Dream~Theater^ 01-19-2005 06:46 PM

He's just mad because Metallica did something that he didn't like. Boo Hoo, maybe he should go cry somewhere. If Metallica wants to make music like that then it's their choice, like it or don't listen, Complaining solves nothing.

metal_milita 01-19-2005 07:32 PM

Thats a fan??

Was Metallica created to impress us?? him??

What the **** makes him think hes so high and mighty and he knows everything?? I disagree with that article 110%. He calls himself a "true metallica fan." What a ****ing critisizer. I prefer Metallica doing what they want to do because that means they are true to themselves and not selling out to get their old fans (who are accusing them of selling out because they canged their music to MAYBE get new fans). Metallica is made of human beings, not ****ing machines.

metal_milita 01-19-2005 07:34 PM

However. it was very poetic and brilliant in its language, credit for that.

Joe 01-19-2005 08:45 PM
Wow... he kinda needs to get a life...
yea he sure had a lot of time to think about that. but i really agree on a lot of that letter

Joe 01-19-2005 08:47 PM
Everyone in the band hated Kirk's Unforgiven solo when he first played it for him.
that surprised me the first time i heard it. the Unforgiven solo is one of the coolest metallica solos i've ever heard

I agree, I really like that solo.

Joe 01-19-2005 08:51 PM
I agree, I really like that solo.
JACKROXYOU 01-19-2005 08:52 PM

Joe 01-19-2005 08:57 PM
wow that guy had a lot of time on his hands

metal_milita 01-19-2005 09:02 PM

Lars told Kirk not to put any solo's because "it was old and dead."

JACKROXYOU 01-19-2005 09:03 PM

i think the guy just got drunk and wrote his brains out

metal_milita 01-19-2005 09:04 PM

Nope he sounds very much sober for that style of writing. He just .... had lots and lots and lots of spare time.

JACKROXYOU 01-19-2005 09:05 PM
Lars told Kirk not to put any solo's because "it was old and dead."
really?

lars poll numbers are goin down

metal_milita 01-19-2005 09:09 PM

Excuse me for my ignorance, but what sparked all the hatred towards Lars?? Supposedly it was fine until Napster, and certain quotes totally ruined it.

JACKROXYOU 01-19-2005 09:11 PM

yea people try to look at a good band and say "ok whos the jerk/basterd/greedy ****"

its natural

my opinion i dont give a ****! a brotha got make some cash

HeRoOfThEdAy1589 01-19-2005 09:39 PM

i havent been in here for months but this "petition" jsut came out today n im not sure if some one has touched base on this or not. But metallica fans are signing this petition to get rid of bob rock. personally im for it even though he produced the black album. dont get me wrong i love load n re-load n sum of st anger, but come on.. since he came its been down hill. i wouldnt be sad to see him go.......BRING BACK FLEMMING!!!!

MetallicA´s destiny

Let me tell you a little about MetallicA´s destiny:
As I see it, they will record their last album, which will contain the greatest songs of their entire history. It will be a double-cd or triple-cd album. After that, they´ll go on tour, the "So Goodbye Tour 2007"(jajaja). It will be the best tour.
By 2008, MetallicA will be retired. Lars will be teaching is son how to master the drums, like his daddy. James will be taking his daughter to kindergarden and Kirk will be surfing in Hawai or Australia. Of course, Rob will keep playing with Ozzy.
I would like to hear all your opinions. You can write me to: erquiagu28@hotmail.com

If I had a nickel for everytime James has said "we aren't done yet," I'd have a fortune. Your thesis is incorrect.

metal_milita 01-19-2005 10:58 PM

woah leave the guy alone, hes predicting not fcuking making a prophecy.

Huber 01-19-2005 11:13 PM

I didn't exaggerate.
