My resolution is to push myself to get better at guitar, increase the number of instruments I play, and possibly do my own cover of the keyboard/guitar parts to Pink Floyd's Echoes.

that's going to be tough, but if you succeed you'll feel really accomplished

Rasta Rocker 01-09-2005 12:43 AM
So, anyone got a New Year's resolution? Let's hear the, especially the interesting ones.
My resolution is to get my homework done right away every day, and to study for tests. To stop losing my temper at the drop of a dime. To be less opinionated. And finally, to practice at guitar more often.
Quiting pot. Although I only do it about once a month, I want to stop before It becomes a habbit.
I'm in your situation buddy, just think of it this way, only do it if it's free.

That's what I've been doing, it cut the habit very strongly, and in the past 3 months I've only spent 10 dollars on it. GO ME!

Rasta Rocker 01-09-2005 12:48 AM

congrats...but does it really help you become more musically creative?

Eleventy 01-09-2005 12:50 AM

Yes, if you play under the influence, you just get into, all the notes and things you can do seem.... more signifigant.... me and my bro and his friends jam out every now and then (they do all the time, me included is like a once every 2 or 3 week thing).

CaptainWaits 01-09-2005 12:51 AM

Picked up some Symphony X earlier today......good stuff, good power metal

Rasta Rocker 01-09-2005 12:51 AM

but even when youre not influenced, does it help with writing

Rasta Rocker 01-09-2005 12:53 AM

i cant really smoke pot, because it would ruin my lungs and i play soccer and run track, and i dont want to die in games and practice....so that sucks

CaptainWaits 01-09-2005 01:03 AM

It doesn't ruin your lungs unless you do it constantly, my brother and his one friends play on our school soccer team, and they smoke up all the time, and they've done fine, our school has gone to districts for like 6 years in a row now too. Then again we have Yeisley :/.

LordDargon 01-09-2005 08:24 AM

Proper elitism begins with proper grammatrical conventions, hence:

You are not tr00 black metal
OR
You're not tr00 black metal

Arucard 01-09-2005 08:26 AM

Ok.
You are not tr00 black metal.

munky_magik 01-09-2005 10:31 AM

Today I suffered a wonderful revelation.
Hangover + basketball is a really bad combination.

*sees the possibility of a new year's resoloution he can keep*

Arucard 01-09-2005 10:32 AM

Haha. Also, sprained wrist + gig on drums = :(

munky_magik 01-09-2005 10:39 AM
Haha. Also, sprained wrist + gig on drums = :(
