thickasabrick 10-26-2004 03:53 PM

k im teaching a student of mine how to play Let It Be..i was just listening to it because im gonna stick it on a cd for him

At the part in the song where he says "For though they may be parted.." does anyone else here a word being whispered in the background?? it sounds like someone saying sunshine but im not sure.

anyone know what im talking about? its bugging me now.

slowhand 10-26-2004 03:56 PM

Which version of Let It Be is that one? Is it from the original or the Naked album?

Anyways, today I went to school dressed as George Harrison in his Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band outfit... It was awesome. The only other person who came as a Pepper was the one who is our 'John,' the other two couldn't make it... Pitty.

thickasabrick 10-26-2004 04:00 PM

im pretty sure its the original, but i've never heard the naked version...is it easy to tell them apart?

slowhand 10-26-2004 04:13 PM

Well, the Naked version is a cleaner recording. The only real difference comes in the solo. It changes a little from both versions, and the Naked version's guitar in the solo has a cleaner sound, more like what they would have done if they actually didn't want the album Let It Be to be as much as ubdubbed as it could be.

The 'for though they may be parted' part is where the bass comes in. Maybe what you're hearing is some sounds overlapping each other.

thickasabrick 10-26-2004 04:14 PM

well its not the naked version then...try giving the original a good listen, maybe its just some noise from my speakers. i was hoping it was some sort of subliminal message telling me to do acid.

Woodstock 10-26-2004 04:21 PM

I've never noticed the sunshine thing, but it is where the bass comes in.

myassitches 10-26-2004 04:41 PM

Heh, yeah.

I wish I could teach guitar. Teach kids Beatles songs and punk stuff. Would be good, easy work.

8.99 I ****en wish by the way you are probably one of the most retarded metal heads but Ive seen worse. Most of the music you probably listin to is inspired by classic rock  ...Anyways anyone home?

Woodstock 10-26-2004 05:14 PM

I'm here, but with nothing much to say.

BludgeonySteve 10-26-2004 05:21 PM

Where are these $9 cds you speak of? The lowest it gets around here is $10 and that's for less-known bands.

Creedence Clearwater 10-26-2004 05:23 PM

Creedence Clearwater 10-26-2004 05:27 PM

Sometimess you can pick up good classic rock albums that stores don't respect, I have got a lot of Old Acoustic Dylan very cheap.

I'd like to get some more vinyl, but first I need a good place to set my dad's turn table up.
