I have a vocab final lol, we learn the most dumbass words.

Toaster 01-24-2006 06:46 PM

Eh.. I should really be studying for my science exam. So hard to get started.

blue3 01-24-2006 06:52 PM

Like what words?

And I hate studying, especially for Science. I had a midterm for it today.

MBS 01-24-2006 06:52 PM

My finals aren't until next week.

Well, a blow has been struck against the nice, genuine, straight male today.

There was a character in a girl's story today who was clearly the poster boy for the "nice guy" who is best friends with the girl who he loves and will never date this girl because she likes jerks who use each other for sex, and who listens to all her problems and complaints and offers helpful advice.

And what happens? Everybody, including the teacher, assumes this male character is gay. I swear. Does everyone really think that no straight male can be genuinely kind?

A bit late of a reply, bah.

I may just be going to go see Rambo, Municipal Waste, and Caustic Christ down there this Friday.
You've just described me there...
And me. I swear, I was so indignant. I'm EXACTLY like that, been in that EXACT situation, and a few of the girls and all of the guys in the class tried to tell me that it was a myth.

That sounds like me also. No one has told me they thought I was gay though.

Is anyone here taking Chemistry? If so, can someone explain Dalton's law to me?

Not Dalton's law, just kidding. Here's the problem:

Given the equation: Ca + 2H^20 -> CA(OH)^2 + H^2

The system was at STP and 5.00 liters of hydrogen gas were produced.

a. Calculate the number of moles of hydrogen gas that were produced

b. Calculate the grams of calcium that were reacted

Maybe they assumed it because it was written within a fiction. Though that would depend on what the girl doing the writing was like.

I suppose. There was a slight lack of clarity on that front...one of the flaws was that this wasn't fleshed out enough.

EDIT: Blues Ensemble. Be back later.

EDIT 2: GI, my apologies. :)

Yeah, and as I have a hot Girlfriend...there's hope for you all.
That was pretty much our situation too...Just she liked me too, and I was just so introverted and depressed I was oblivious.

Everyone says it's the happiest they've ever seen me...

It's all part of a system of stereotypes and roles that society negatively reinforces.

Chivalry isn't dead, but it's had ot become a lot more subtle.

Ever since my brother started dating, we've all noticed he's been a lot less violent and short-tempered.

Amazing what a switch that can bring about in a person.

Thank you Julianne, I'm working on it. Unless you want to help me BS the data for my science project, SILENCE!
