If you compare the policies, then Kerry and Bush agree on about 80% of the things that most Kerry supporters hate bush for, the death penalty, the Iraq war, the patriot act e.t.c.
Kerry is also a conservative so he will do exactly the same as Bush has done.

He may have agreed on the policies, but he would have gone about the processes in differnet ways. Kerry has stated that he agreed that rhe Iraq war was the right thing to do if the US had the necessary backing to ensure that the war went as smoothly as possible (as smoothly as a war can go that is), and would not end up being the war criminal that Bush is.

He also said that he would have gone into iraq even if he knew there were no weapons to find.
Of course he is saying that he'd do it differently, thats because the war went wrong, if it had gone right he'd be backing the methods 110% It is merely his way of getting his white rich behind into the whitehouse, People are dissalusioned by the war, he is taking advantage of this.

The fact that people are disallusioned is all down to Bush and his campaign team. Their easoning behind the war was constantly changing and they are the ones who never had a policy, depite accusing Kerry of this
