Here's your review, which isn't on Sputnik but really should be!
I like my reply in that thread. I used to be so thoughtful. |
No love for my overly-pretentious, arty, pompus review eh?
No there isn't. Nacho's review said exactly what needed to be said in order to pique interest in an album he obviously had a great deal of admiration for. You should think about that. |

I don't really care for it myself, but some of the other users liked it, so I'll let it be. |

Brit Pop
I'm totally into British usic right now it's everywhere. Top bands at the moment have to be:
Arctic Monkeys (Fake tales of San Francisco) The Rakes Franz Ferdinand (I know their scottish but they still count) (Do You Want To) Dead 60's (Riot Radio) Maximo Park (Kiss You Better, Alhtough their whol album is great) Guillemots (Trains to Brazil or Made up love song #43) Hard-Fi (Hard to Beat) These guys are all great well worth a listen to shuv a bit of brit culture down your neck! |

Mike Watt was a lucky man. For a small amount of time. |
Daft Punk - Discovery
Blackalicious - The Craft Imogen Heap - Speak For Yourself Nick Drake - Pink Moon Nothing new, I just tried listening to a bunch of stuff through a different sound system. |
The Meditations - Guidance
Misty In Roots - Live At the Counter Eurovision |
Old Crow Medicine Show - OCMS
Props to you. I've seen them live. |
Props to you. I've seen them live.
Where??? That would be such a fantastic show. |
I'm digging ridiculous amounts of Ani Difranco and The Grateful Dead. That, alongside Friends Of Dean Martinez - Lost Horizons.
|
The Strokes - First Impressions of Earth
I like. |
I've mainly been diggin':
GWAR - Carnival of Chaos The Flaming Lips - Clouds Taste Metallic The Residents - Demons Dance Alone and Live in the US: 13th Annivesary Tour |
Today:
Apostle of Hustle - Folkloric Feel The Blood Brothers - Crimes Brian Eno - Another Green World (props to Zappa) The Blood Brothers really stick out. I had a craving for sass, and they fulfilled it. |
I figured out that Zen Arcade has its liner note lyrics written in two sets of handwriting, so you can figure out who wrote/sang the songs in that manner

Last.fm doesn't work for me when I'm not at school, so I'll just name albums.
Broken Social Scene - Broken Social Scene, An EP To Be You And Me Set Fire To Flames - Telegraphs in Negative/Mouths Trapped In Static (I also disagree with the rating given to this album by pitchfork) Wire - Pink Flag it's been a strange week for music. |
I recently deleted my entire hard drive of music, which I generally do every new year to make sure I get into new stuff and not get lazy.
Therefore, I won't be listing as many albums as songs, cause i havent even really been listening to my ipod either. 1. Bob Dylan - Mr. Tambourine Man 2. Black Leotard Front - Casual Friday 3. Broken Social Scene - Hotel 4. Spoon - I Turn My Camera On 5. Johnny Cash - The Mercy Seat (Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds cover) 6. The Stooges - Down on the Street 7. Dusty Springfield - Spooky 8. Frog Eyes - Soldiers Crash Gathering in Sparrow Hills 9. Wolf Parade - Lousy Pictures 10. Gorillaz - Dare (DFA Remix) all along with the usual assortment of jazz I listen to in the winter. |
