The reason I was put off by Burzum for a long time was Filosofem. It's not a very good album after the first 3 songs...

And how could you be put off by Burzum/Aske? It seems like the most digestable out of all of them.

Because the I found the vocals to be completely unlistenable. Then I listened to Hvis Lyset Tar Oss, and the rest of the music was good enough to make up for it.

I was pretty unaware of metal music in general when I first tried out Burzum though. I really like Burzum/Aske. I don't see a problem with the vocals at all. It just seems like Varg's trying to scream as loud as humanly possible.

personally i have trouble listening to DSEV. i think it is the most boring of the four. Filosofem doesn't really bother me too much on the other hand.

I heard it's actually good.

I really like it. I just started to dive into Marduk, and I haven't picked anything up that I haven't liked.

I heard one song off of it and didn't like it.

What I've heard from it is definitely better than most Marduk. Still didn't think it was outstanding, but it's good to hear them do something other than blast at light speed for two minutes.

I'm seriously enjoying Winterthrall. It's very good stuff.

The song I heard from it was basically blast at light speed for however long the song was. The riffs weren't even good either, unlike their Norwegian counterpart, 1349, who makes up for having no variation by actually having good riffs.

I dont know I think 1349 is equally boring.

They're slightly less boring imo, for the reason mentioned.
