Just read that they will be recording the new album in the UK and have a tentative release date of late '05 to early '06. Not sure if this is new news or not. I'm quite pumped for it though, as I'm sure everyone else in here is. Sounds like they're really putting a lot of work into it and trying to improve with this record.
yeh should be bloody good. apparently they have a name for the album "Strap it on" i think there goin to call it or so i have heard. Ive also heard that they have enough material for two albums but want to make it into one fukin awesome album, so they are taken their time to make it really good.

rippa32 06-01-2005 01:10 AM

Everyone thought it was Strap It On for a while. That was later disregarded as false. But yeah should be good. I reckon itll do for em what Razors Edge did.
I reckon itll do for em what Razors Edge did.
I'd like to believe you, but I can't help thinking this will be their last album and they will just tour on it until they're heading to hang it up for good. Just my own speculation though.

SpongeB0b 06-01-2005 01:29 AM

They habe catchy riffs and some good songs though IMO they are overrated but they are still good! and Angus is so fun to watch! :)

bluefire 06-01-2005 01:32 AM
I don't own SUL but the show on No Bull I didn't really like, the sound quality was not that good, you could barely hear Brian over the guitar, bass and drums. If your looking for the best AC/DC DVD then I would go with Live at Donnington, that is a ****in amazing DVD. That and I didn't really like the SUL setlist.
i have live at donnington as well, i think that there all good shows. my favourite is no bull tho

Yeah I wouldnt be surprised. At least theyll go out on a very good note.

I sure hope so, and it would be a sensational way to go out if they did decide to end their careers after this upcoming album.

rippa32 06-01-2005 05:17 AM

I have a feeling they will just due to pure age. It probably wont be official though. Theyll just stop making albums.

maddog87 06-01-2005 07:19 AM

thats pretty sad.no more new tunes after this one.........................................................................................

evan6the9punk 06-01-2005 07:45 AM

AC/DC i think are gods. Great riffs that are simple and they have a kick *** image and sound.

Its not all bad. this one will raise the tally of albums to 18. Thats more than most bands.

maddog87 06-03-2005 07:37 PM

still, the gods are calming down...:(

wookieofdoom 06-03-2005 07:52 PM

angus is great I hope the band keeps going as long as it can

rippa32 06-03-2005 07:53 PM

Yer it is a bit sad.

mmettalldemon 06-03-2005 09:58 PM

if they come anywhere in my state on tour my friends mom said she would take me and him to see them.

Besides, they've put out a lot of music anyway.

Brain Toad 06-03-2005 10:23 PM

Me and my friends have been discussing AC/DC really heavily lately, an awesome band that I can never get tired of. Their simplicity makes them really fun to listen to. And got to love their dirty sense of humour.

mmettalldemon 06-03-2005 10:51 PM

^^that's one one of the things that draws me to listen to them is their dirty sense of humor.

rippa32 06-04-2005 01:03 AM

Yeah thats true. Of course Big Balls gets a bit tiring.

AB/CD 06-04-2005 12:47 PM

only time AC/DC are gonna stop releasing new material and touring is when they feel they "arent cutting the mustard" so that day will probably never come album isnt being called strap it on nor is it going to be a double disk Brian Johnson said that as a joke because they had so much material written.

anyway every1s current fave songs at the minute? mine is little lover i think its different compared to what AC/DC normally done its a wee bit cheesy aswell just shows an all round different side to the band.

White_heat 06-04-2005 12:53 PM

i loved the bon scott era, seems with biran johnson they wrote the same stuff over and over after back in black

Aeaon 06-04-2005 12:58 PM

Another great thing about AC/DC.

Big Balls is pretty funny to listen to.

I think Brain Johnson is an alright singer, but now it really isn't that good.

AB/CD 06-04-2005 01:55 PM

i prefer his voice now just shows that even after all these years of smoking and drinking hes still willing to sing because he loves it because he loves AC/DC and because he loves doing it

rust_in_peace 06-04-2005 06:51 PM

I hate it that everybody says that all their songs "sound exactly the same". I think that this is a good thing. It means that they are very consistant. I'd rather hear them do songs that are similar to one another than hear them do something new and experimental. Why? Because that kind of music is what I want to hear when I pick up an AC/Dc record.

rippa32 06-04-2005 08:06 PM

Yeah youre right. And there songs dont sound exactly the same anyway.

Ballsack_AC/DC69 06-04-2005 09:08 PM

Brian Johnson Can't sing to save his life. Bon Scott is the only voice for AC/DC.

Child of the Grave 06-04-2005 09:26 PM

id just like to say....

jaaaiiiiiiiiiiiillllllllllll.......break!

rippa32 06-05-2005 12:55 AM
Brian Johnson Can't sing to save his life. Bon Scott is the only voice for AC/DC.
Brian Johnson can sing very well. Thats why he hasnt been kicked out. And if you opened your mind you would realise that some people actually prefer him.

The Four Key 06-05-2005 01:30 AM

Sounding the same in a lot of songs is not the definition for consistent.

Bon Scott seen Brian live sure and told Malcolm he thought he was grerat thats why they took Brian into the band instead of anybody else

Mr. Black 06-05-2005 11:31 AM

Acdc!!!!!!

rippa32 06-06-2005 06:15 AM

Hey jimmypageguitarhero dont you hate it when people make pointless posts?

obviam_everto 06-06-2005 06:18 AM

haha, thats funny considering "don't you hate when people make pointless posts?" is a pointless post.

I clicked this topic because someone replied to it last, I actually thought there was going to be discussion.

he can't help he was born with down syndrome :)

rippa32 06-06-2005 06:25 AM

Wait I dont get it are you on my side or his?

obviam_everto 06-06-2005 06:27 AM

honestly, i didn't choose any sides, I just felt like being a sarcastic dick, and posting a pointless post in regards to your pointless post.

posting a pointless post about pointless posts is POINTLESS

either way, I still love everyone, and everyone is special to their own degree

oh and might I add, AC/DC put on the loudest show I have ever been to. My ears felt like they were going to bleed.

Thank you angus Young. oh and when everything goes quiet, and you hear that thunderstruck riff come into play, it sends chills down your spine.

rippa32 06-06-2005 06:35 AM

I wish I could go to an AC/DC concert. And I will next year when they tour. Oh and btw my post wasn't pointless, im sick of people writing pointless posts I was basically telling him not to to do that again.

angus-young 06-06-2005 08:08 AM
I think Brain Johnson is an alright singer, but now it really isn't that good.
Brian Johnson was good but you should here him nowadays like on the 'stiff upper lip' concert he just screams and screws up the song but Bon is the true singer......or was :upset:

Bon_Scottie 06-06-2005 08:14 AM

I agree with the guy above.

I mean, Brians era has had some great tunes, but has had some very... bad ones, too. Face it, the band members have gotten old. The sound of the Instruments don't get old, but the voice does. I personally reckon if they actually changed singer (It would be uncalled for, seens as Brian has commited himself to the band and totally is worth it), but I think if you replaced him, AC/DC sound better.

Why the hell did Bon have to choke on his own puke. Foo'

rippa32 06-06-2005 10:34 PM

Yeah, it would have been good if could have at least finished the album there were working on at the time before he died. The highway to hell album wasnt all that great a note to end on.
