That was beautiful man.
Has anyone heard any Appleseed Cast? I haven't seen them mentioned around here recently. I wasn't sure if they were filed with Jawbreaker into the Pop-Punk or the emo and was forgotten about. |
Appleseed Cast were good.
Quoted for brevity.
There are lots of mistakes in your argument, you know. |
The only songs I can find on either CD that stray from the pop beat are "A Box Full of Sharp Objects" and "Maybe Memories," which are actually sorta cool as songs.
the hidden track owns. |
the hidden track owns.
yeah it does but it's not the best song on the cd. right now i think my fav on that cd is pices mended |
Please, torn, indulge me with your ultimate wisdom, so that I may never make an error in arguing again.
Just when you think the ocean's settled, you get smaked in the face by an other wave... |
There's not such thing as bad and good music. Everything comes down to opinion, and debating whether TBS is good or not is just a plain waste of my oxygen. Simplicity doesn't make something bad...
But bringing TBS (and The Used) in this thread was, in the first place, wrong. Before posting keep one thing in mind: emo is NOT poppy. you will probably never (or very rarely, though we'll never hear that type of music on the media where I live) see emo on TV so forget underoath, the used, MCR and all of the likes. Read at LEAST the first page of the thread, to see names of emo/screamo bands before you post (not wanting to flip through 70 pages of text can be understood, but NOT posting without getting your *** ripped open on the first page of the thread.) This doesn't look like a community thread anymore, it's a n00bie slugfest. |
I missed the A Day In Black And White concert. I hate life.
Edit: I got the date wrong. I love life and cb.
i saw them on tuesday, booyah! |
There was really no need for that at all...
Yes there was. If you'd have taken a look at the rest of the thread you'd have noticed there are dozens of noobs who come barging in here thinking underoath and my chemical romance are emo. ok thx bye |

If YOU read the threads you'd see that we'd already settled that... D*CK. |
I missed them too just a few weeks ago :upset:
As did I, stupid venue being shut down |
Are Books Lie emo or just hardcore?
|
To me, they're hardcore.
I don't think anyone could disagree on this one. |
If YOU read the threads you'd see that we'd already settled that... D*CK.
If you read the thread you'd have noticed I don't give a **** about you or your lame argument against DFelon, but rather the never ending flow of pop-centered kids who come here and post about underoath and the likes thinking it's emo. You're just one among the throng. Have a fine day :thumb: |
Nothing can be settled here. Music and opinions are always open to debate/criticism. If you can't handle having these conversations then go sit at the kiddie table, the Pop Punk forum.
 |

Who cares if there is a never ending flow of kids that don't know what emo is. Once they read the thread a little they will learn, which is a good thing. The Used, TBS, Finch etc. fans don't really bother me. It's the ****faces that say they hate emo because it's whiny p'ussy s'hit about guys breaking up with their girlfriend. They think that emo is softcore punk. If you try to tell them emo is really emotional hardcore they will laugh at you. If they ever saw this forum they would laugh because hardcore and emo are grouped together. They think Dashboard Confessional is the epitome of emo. Then, you'll have the "emo fans" come back and say that's not real emo. Listen to SOTY, The Used, Thursday, and My Chemical Romance. (I think Thursday and The Used are good bands though, just not emo.) These people think emo kids are all depressed, and wear thick glasses. You know, the same stereotype of emo being a fashion instead of a genre of music which is completely WRONG. You'd be surprised how many people think like this. These are the people that piss me off. |
Sup DFelon.
This thread is so old, but really clean. Good modding. Saetia is neat. |
Saetia definitely is neat.

Did that have anything to do with my argument...? I understand you though on the stereotype thing. One fact people don't necessarily get is that the emo fashion and emo music genre in itself are completely DIFFERENT things today, thanks to the mainstream who elevated TBS and the likes to an "emo" status. |
I was digging where you were going on that argument until you used the word "softcore." What the fuck is that.
I'm just saying stuff that I hear other people say when describing emo.
Did that have anything to do with my argument...?
Yeah I don't know why I quoted what you said. |

i just saw Hot Cross....
jealous much? |
Nah, I'm seeing them in a month.
My Saetia demo came today. Whoohoo! |
"Patchwork Neurology" is such an awesome song.
|
I'm jealous. I desperately want to see Hot Cross.
|
I've seen Hot Cross.
*parties with Lowend* |
How were they?
|
Pretty good. Sound in the venue was crap.
|
I really want to see them play Consonants, I love that song.
|
Buddy, did you see them post-Fair Trades?
|
Yes. It was October 2 of last year.
|
Did the play a mix of stuff from Cryonics and the EP?
Congrats on 7000 by the way. |
Wow, I didn't even notice. SWEET!
It was really mixed. I only have Cryonics and just recently got Fair Trades, but judging from the songs that I do know and knowing what I do about how each release sounds, they played a pretty equal amount of songs from everything, actually maybe more off of Fair Trades. Like they only played maybe 3 or 4 songs off of Cryonics. |
Pretty good. Sound in the venue was crap.
same. it was awesome hearing him yell F*ck not lest ye be F*cked". Transistor Transistor played as well. i didn't realize how f*cking awesome their drummer is. |
Yeah, I'm gonna' see them in April or May. Transistor, Transistor is so good.
|

no because we already established that, you're basically taking an argument you already know you can win and starting it again... good job on being an idiot :thumb: |
SHUT UP ALREADY
Holy Christ, this argument is going nowhere. Morzov, you lose. Get over it. |
Morzov is really kicking a dead horse.
