It's a leak. Check today's DU.

Txus 02-20-2007 08:21 PM

Yeah, I got the album like 3 days ago and I'm seriously amazed.

niobium 02-20-2007 09:39 PM

isn't it due for a may release

outrageous leak

whatsgrimace 02-20-2007 09:40 PM

Txus 02-20-2007 09:46 PM
i have become obsessed with Mogwai . . . they are my homework band . . .
Mogwai is perfection. I think their not really talked about much in here because its pretty much understood that theyre ****ing great.

I'm seeing EiTS in march, it should be a pretty cool show, I got the new album and its decent, nothing new, but i still enjoy listening to the earth is a cold dead place and those who tell the truth...

speaking of mogwai though, the missing piece to my collection is ten rapid. anybody care to upload fer me?

Concubine 02-20-2007 10:00 PM

Silver is my fav post rock album ever

no propellers 02-20-2007 10:03 PM

its pretty good. but theres no way i could ever consider it to be a favorite ever in post rock though. not even close.

Concubine 02-20-2007 10:05 PM

whats yours then

no propellers 02-20-2007 10:08 PM

probably Mogwai's Young Team. or Kayo Dot's Choirs of the Eye at the moment. but either Young Team or CODY as far as all time goes.

its all about personal preference, didnt expect you to take my comment so personally.

whatsgrimace 02-20-2007 10:11 PM

As for all time favorite, I'm going to have to go with either Sigur Ros' ( ) or EITS's The Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place.

BurningSky 02-20-2007 10:12 PM

I don't think I can choose a single favorite. Maybe At the Soundless Dawn, but I'd hate to be neglecting Godspeed or EITS. Also, DMST and 65dos...

Concubine 02-20-2007 10:13 PM

nah dude, it's all good :p

Kayo Dot isn't exactly post rock though. Great album nonetheless

no propellers 02-20-2007 10:13 PM

yeah, i hate to not say something by godspeed, like fsharpasharp infinity or zero canada or Lift your skinny fists most importantly. lift your skinny fists would actaully have to right up there with mogwai. ****ing epic.

Concubine 02-20-2007 10:16 PM

I need to get Lift Your Skinny Fists...

I have F# A# or whatever its called and i didnt like it =/

Kage 02-20-2007 10:18 PM

Godpseed's Lift Your Skinny fists is by far my favorite Post rock album. It is my favorite album of all time.

no propellers 02-20-2007 10:18 PM

o shi.....
if you didnt like that...
still....get list your skinny fists like antennas to heaven. you probably wont like it if you didnt like f# a#, but still. it begs to be listened to.

Everything on Yanqui UXO is great too. Get that as well.

niobium 02-20-2007 10:24 PM

Is Tweez as good as Spiderland? I love the album art.

Kage 02-20-2007 10:25 PM
Is Tweez as good as Spiderland? I love the album art.
Nah, unfortunately.

BurningSky 02-20-2007 10:27 PM

Lift Your Skinny Fists is amazing in every way. The first six minutes are so damn epic it's ridiculous...

Kage 02-20-2007 10:28 PM

It is essential listening for any fan of music imo.

no propellers 02-20-2007 10:29 PM

Tweez < Spiderland.
i still enjoy it, its just nowhere near the perfection of spiderland. its way different sounding too, dont expect anything from it, becasue you'll be let down. but maybe come back to really enjoy it later, like i did.

and i just found out im going to see Do Make Say Think friday in Detroit. and Redsparrowes in march.

BurningSky 02-20-2007 10:33 PM

2007 is going to be the best concert year ever. A whole mess of post-rock bands are touring, Porcupine Tree is touring, I'm seeing Justin King in Philly in a week and a half. Life is so good right now...

Concubine 02-20-2007 10:35 PM

Sunn O)) and Boris are coming to Australia. I might go see them

They better record the Slint concert.

BurningSky 02-20-2007 10:41 PM

np-Godspeed "Storm"

:eargasm:

Dr. Jake Destructo 02-21-2007 12:19 AM

The new Pelican is allright. I've never considered them one of my favorites; I still hold their Chi-town counterparts Russian Circles (whose shirt I am currently sporting) far better.
