Dan = Raiven, yeah. Joe's friends with him, so that means it was either a really short ban or a really long one as a joke.

Joe once permabanned all my accounts.

Did you do anything or was it random bannage?

NPC seems pretty cool. He gave us a few chances to quit but i just couldn't. I think i developed temporary Obsessive compulsive disorder :p

It's my first ban and i've now vowed to change my wayward path and use my posting powers for only good. Except in the pit :D

Is it just me or do i use far toomany smilies?

morrissey 09-11-2005 02:56 PM

We were just joking around... I think he banned me because I started a thread for my 10,000th post. Which I told him I wouldn't do. He unbanned this account a week later, I don't know about all of my other ones.

How many other accounts do you have? Was this your first one?

And has anyone apart from me heard of Malcolm Middleton(He used to be in a scottish band called Arab Strap if that helps). Genius!

morrissey 09-11-2005 03:04 PM

This is my second account. I have 3 other accounts on which I have about 4,000 posts all together, and then maybe 3 or 4 that only have a few hundred.

I've heard of Belle & Sebastian's The Boy With the Arab Strap, and they're Scottish... does that count?

At least they're scottish. I saw them not that long ago. Not one of my favourite bands but they're inventive.

Malcolm Middleton

If you can get past the scottish accent then the lyrics are very witty. The music is catchy and complex at the same time. Goes from acoustic to electronic. One of my favourite lyricists at the moment. I'll probably post a thread about this in alt and indie when i get my account back. Enjoy!

EDIT: just realised the samples don't really show off the lyrics much :upset:

**** the closing of the YSI threads

Dammit :upset:

If only your statement were true, we could throw half of the bands in the charts off the edge. :D

But sadly i think the earth is spherical.

If it were flat, the sun wouldn't make that whirly movement it has.

Isn't this spam talk?

Give empirical evidence please.

According to explorers prior to the late 15th century, the world was flat, and if you sailed too far you would fall right off.

morrissey 09-13-2005 03:02 PM

How's college treating you?

But six centuries and a telescope in space prove those d00ds wrong. :D

The Short Story thread is up and open :thumb:

TojesDolan 09-14-2005 10:07 AM

Great... I'l come up with something later. :D

TojesDolan 09-14-2005 02:45 PM

Dammit, I wrote something about this girl Molly... but it could take a while to develop, I'm in that inbetween section of inspiration... I need a muse.

Anyhow, I'll go watch Amityville horror. Any reccomendations? I'm open to anything.

Sloth 09-14-2005 04:00 PM

Movies that have "inspired" me have been: Sin City, Hero, 21 Grams, Eternal Sunshine on a Spotless Mind, The Patriot, the HBO series Band of Brothers, Crash, Saw, ......ummmm.....I can't remember any others.. But there's a few that I've enjoyed and written some neat stuff afterwards

silenceevolves 09-14-2005 04:25 PM

Amityville Horror can only inspire depressing songs about killing poor dogs and letting the annoying humans live.

metaliq 09-14-2005 07:30 PM

Requiem For A Dream
Garden State
Fight Club
Scarface

TojesDolan 09-14-2005 11:30 PM

Well, so I'm back from the movies and it sucked. I didn't watch a thing, and I had no fun tonight. And I have no classes tomorrow so I was free to do anything.

Anyhow, I watched the fight club and found it really good (this was a while ago). I'm looking forward to watch "memento", I saw it on DVD a while ago for 4 bucks, but didn't get it because... I don't know. I just didn't.

At any rate, I want to go to the beach really bad. :(

Sloth 09-14-2005 11:40 PM

mmmmm.. beach... that makes me wish I were in Honduras again... Man, Dolan, why'd you have to talk about the beach?! I live in Minnesota! Winters here last forever! And it's not even winter yet! GAAAAHHH!

SubtleDagger 09-15-2005 05:40 AM

Do me a favor and read Jared's first post already, losers.

Sloth 09-15-2005 09:33 AM

pssshhhh ... OKAY, Subtle, are there any particular movies that you have seen that have "inspired" you to write anything?

SubtleDagger 09-15-2005 09:42 AM

No.

TojesDolan 09-15-2005 12:20 PM
Do me a favor and read Jared's first post already, losers.
