I was taught to back my opinions with reasons for my liking/disliking something and to understand everyone has a different point of view. My father wanted to be a lawyer, but dropped out of law school.
I want to get the first Rage DVD they still offer. The self titled one. Does anyone here have it?

Excellent, how's the quality of the performace(s)? Any cool special features like Battle of Mexico City had?

great quality, pretty cool features

Shaft! 06-29-2005 02:46 PM

Hmm...I think I'll try to pick it up next time I go to Best Buy. Thanks.
I'll also try and pick up the Grand Olympic performance. I've heard good things about that one.

I do. It's definetly worth your money, there are some great perfomances in it. The highlight is when they play Killing in the Name and Freedom in the Netherlands.

If you can only get one, get LATGOA

Agreed. That DVD is the best music DVD I own.

Shaft! 06-29-2005 03:26 PM

I'm taking both your recommendations and I'll make sure to buy one or the other, or both, after I buy my girlfriend a birthday present.
Has anyone checked out Live and Rare since I talked about it a few pages back?

I gotta say, I like the performance of "Take The Power Back" and "Settle for Nothing" off of that album. I like "Darkness" too.
I really wish they hadn't used "Hadda Be Playin' It On A Jukebox" for that album. That and "Clear the Lane". The poem is a nice reference towards their political influences and influences overall, but it doesn't seem to represent Rage. I think that's why I'll buy the s/t DVD because Zack recites an original poem he wrote, right?
"Clear the Lane" was scratch from the demo for the s/t. It had good bass, a good solo, but the sound wouldn't have worked well if they used it on the s/t. I've even mixed it in the playlist for the s/t in Windows Media. It just doesn't work for me.

I love CTL and ZB. They are great and different songs for/by Rage. And does anyone here legally own L&R?

Since RATM is my favorite band I have to support them and get all of their stuff. Here is another question.

Who here owns all of their CDs (including Live and Rare) and has all of their DVDs?

I do! :thumb:

*is wearing a RATM shirt right now*

heavy metal kid 06-29-2005 04:40 PM

wow, I'm hearing down rodeo, it's my favorite song of RATM, probably because is simple and melodic, does anybody likes this song?

I like that song, but I think it's not the best RATM song on Evil Empire. The lyrics are great, but the guitars aren't as impressive as they could be.

As a matter of fact, I do. :thumb:

Exactly. It has a great intro, but it just gets repetitive and boring after like 2:00.

Everything, except Live and Rare :(

Edit; And singles, only because I can't get them anywhere.

Amazon.com is the way to go. I'm pretty sure you can get them on there. I know you can at least get Live and Rare on there.

Yes, I bought it off of Barnes & Noble.com.
It came with the fancy Japanese packaging and terrible lyric booklet.

The lyrics are to the wrong songs, tons of typos, lyrics are all-around wrong. Yup.
