Great, now I'm all confused.
So, for my birthday I'm going to order Sin after Sin, Defenders and Ram it Down. |
You will love the title track and Hard As Iron from Ram It Down!
I thought you were English, by the way. |
Those two tracks make Ram It Down worthwhile. For the $11 I paid, anyway.
|
I only paid $5.
$5 dollars each for Ram It Down, Screaming For Vengeance and British Steel. |
I paid $10 for Screaming For Vengeance, and got British Steel from the library.
|
Is there a way of downloading stuff from youtube? I'd love to keep a copy of that Rocka Rolla video... just for the clothes they're wearing...Yow, especially K.K.'s shirt

You said that you wanted a South Florida date, but your spelling is distinctly Old World. :)
|
Wow, that's suprising. I don't usually fall back into old habits.
|
So, my band might be covering The Ripper...
|
That is awesome. The Ripper is one of, if not my favourite Priest track. Agent Steel do a mighty fine cover too.
|
I've started to listen to Priest again for the first time in a long time lately. I always forget how good they are.
|
So does the rest of the world. They never seem to get the real respect they deserve and are only really remembered for Breaking the Law and Another Thing Comin'.
/end of rant |

That they do, pig. That they do. |
Ok, has anyone noticed the similarity between the "Blood Red Skies" intro and "The Hellion?" It's just the same thing, but played in a different key. Did they just like that riff so they used it again, or is there something deeper there? Also, which one came first?
|
The Hellion came first, and I can see the similarity but I don't think it is the same thing, exactly.
|
No, trust me, I'm a guitarist, and I'm sitting here playing both of them...they're the same thing...same scale, same melody, different positions.
|
It is definantly very similar. But i dont think its the EXACT same thing.
And the best priest songs are Painkiller, Hot Rock'n, The Sentinel, Turbo Lover, Turn On Your Light, Screaming For Vengence and Hell Bent For Leather. Judas Priest are a very good band and it is great that Halford is back, but Iron Maiden are still my favourite band, but only just, but Judas Priest are sitting right behind em. |
Priest > Maiden
You all know I'm right  |
Priest < Maiden
You all know I'm right
fix'd :thumb: |
I was wondering who the first Maiden fanboy to see this would be
:p |

Turn On Your Light and Turbo Lover... not really. Why no love for anything from Ram It Down? But it's great to have Halford in Priest, yeah. Especially when they are a better band than Maiden. :p |
Priest > Maiden
You all know I'm right
Yup. Hellbent for Leather is a pretty good album. Doesn't stand up to Stained Class but it's a solid album. |

Especially when they are a better band than Maiden. :p
I chose Turn On Your Light because sometimes soft songs are good to listen to, like Angel aswell, and Turbo Lover is very underrated... And yes Ram It Down is a mad album:thumb:, i like the songs Ram It Down, Halfords singing on Love Zone is good, Come and Get It is a great song, same with Hard As Iron, I love the lyrics to Im A Rocker, and the cover to Johnny B. Goode is great, so yeah, i do like Ram It Down lol. Is that enough love for ya? (listen to Ram It Down(the song) on repeat and at the start/end Halford screams, it seems like he just keeps holding the note then the song starts over again, its heaps cool :thumb:) And as much as i love Judas Priest, Maiden are better, but only just. ;) |

lies! |

Well, it looks like it's me, Riva and AR holding out against an army of Maiden fanboys.
|
I like Maiden as well as Priest, they're quite different so luckily I don't have to choose one or the other. Believe it or not, in the early 80s, the big 3 bands I was into were Priest, Maiden, and the Scorpions... Unfortunately The Scorpions went in too much of a pop direction for me to follow their newer albums
