all the CRS7 bands seem to come and go to me in waves. like ill listen for awhile, then stop for awhile. then sometime down the road ill come back and think theyre great for awhile. over and over etc
I usually do not get bored of Leftover Crack or Choking Victim. I never did care for INDK, and I usualy listen to Morning Glory a little bit less then LoC/CV
i get bored of leftover crack sometimes but i listen to it alot. when i get tired of leftover crack i just put on some choking victim. i like morning glory because they have that one song with those rappers in it so i listen to them sometimes if if feelin gangsta.
Sorry for the bump, but i've only just heard leftover crack and choking victim recently when i bought give em the boot's I-IV. I really like the Choking victim songs on them (Infested and Crack Rock Steady), especially Crack Rock Steady, and i was wondering if all of their songs sound similar to these ones, or whether they just put those songs on compilations because they are the most first-time-listenable songs (if you know what i mean). And, if i like these songs, which album would you think i would like best?
You won't find another song like Crack Rock Steady in any album, but it's easy to recommend albums as Choking Victim only have No Gods/No Managers and Leftover Crack have both Mediocre Generica and F'uck World Trade. The first is rougher, and the vocals are more listenable than the second but personally I preffer FWT. The music in there is awesome.

Thanks man, ill probably go for mediocre generica though, because i really dont tend to go for harsh vocals. What would you describe No Gods/No Managers as being like? And are the two bands pretty indestinguishable by sound? |
Both albums have harsh vocals, in fact, all crack rock steady bands have harsh vocals. The only song without them might be Crack Rock Steady.
I didn't like the vocals at first but the music is so good that they grew on me. And about the sound. Choking Victim are more on the ska-punk side and LoC are on the ska-hardcore side, but both bands are a great mix of ska punk and hardcore. |

Cheers mate :thumb: |
That's right you should check it all out. After all it's just 3 albums.
And I recommend you to check the only Morning Glory album: This is no time ta sleep. Awesomeness. |
The CRS7/F Minus split is really good. I like this version of So You Wanna Be A Cop better than the Morning Glory one.
I like CRS7 but don't like LoC.
If you like "Crack Rock Steady" (the song), you'd probably like the Bumblebee Tuna Song by Mephiskapheles
The Bumblebee Tuna Song is so bizarre. And that's not entirely true, the two songhs are not that similar.
Well it seems LoC are beginning work on their new album. They posted it on there myspace and are recording a song called the "Crack Rock Steady 7 Mexico Theme Song" which will probably be on the new album. I think they are also including their version of So Ya Wanna Be a Cop? which can be heard on their myspace.
post a link to their myspace?
