Just Saw the Derek Trucks band. Awesome show, the man is an animal on the slide guitar. Plus he worked in a Miles Davis cover, which was great. One of the best Jam Shows that I have seen in a while.
I don't own anything live by them, their new CD Bastardos sounds like it will be good, they played a couple songs at the concert.

I'm sill mad about Zooma Tour
So am I :upset:

I didn't know they were putting out a new album. What's the release date?

tmb72187 08-02-2005 12:23 PM

the new BT releases 9/13. as for live CD's, they have Live from the Fall, which focuses on their earlier stuff, and On the Rocks, which has more later stuff

I picked up Michael Franti & Spearhead - Stay Human since I saw him at BSC....right now it's my favorite hip-hop CD, the messages that guy conveys in the CD is really impressive, the overall idea of the CD is impressive too I would suggest it for anyone whether you like rap/hip-hop or not.

powerslave765 08-08-2005 11:51 PM

metallica - Metal
van halen - Metal
oasis - Alt.
the smashing pumpkins - Alt.

Although "Jam Band" is the anti-genre it's safe to say none of those are jam bands.

Maybe he was kidding *shrug*

Jam2Me 08-09-2005 09:26 PM

I got Matt Costa's new CD Songs We Sing, not quite what I was expecting but still very good. He's on tour with Jack Johnson right now, that's all the knowledge I had before I bought the CD.

Upcoming shows:
ABB/moe.
Spin Doctors
Brazilian Girls
Victor Wooten Band
The Black Keys

..and some shows I might go to:
Les Claypool (not really into him, but he's Les Claypool so I might go for the hell of it)
Leo Kottke & Mike Gordon (I would definitely go but it's 21+, we'll see if I cn sneak in or go with an adult)

tmb72187 08-20-2005 09:54 PM

New Greyspoke Show almost Ready

If anyone wants a sneak peak at the second set of a new Greyspoke show I can post it in YSI, it will be up on Archive eventually, but may take some time. Also, there will be a concert video as well.

KMidura 08-29-2005 11:31 PM
Guys, I need some new jam bands to fall in love with. Gimme some suggestions.
Greyspoke Variety: new up and coming jam band out of southern vermont. Can be found on Archive.org/audio, and will be playing fairly frequently up in the Burlington, VT area. There should be a new show up on Archive.org with some of their more recent stuff fairly soon

I didn't know where to put this, but I figured you guys would know about because, hey, it's Mike Gordon.

Did any of you guys get his new cd with Leo Kottke. Is it any good? I'm still wondering whether I should get it or not.

KMidura 08-31-2005 08:04 PM

I have a Greyspoke set to circulate before the show is officially released on archive, Greyspoke Variety 2nd set from 2005-08-19. The whole show won't be on Archive.org for a while, but in the meantime this should be nice for those of you who haven't seen them in concert.

I think you should just send it to me. :D But other than that. No unfortunately I do not. I wish I did though. I'd really like to hear it. I'm still listening to 4-23-04 at the Riley Center. :) I shall devote the rest of my night to find a host for new Greyspoke.

pegwedge 08-31-2005 08:55 PM

Ah. I see you got YouSendIt to work. Thank you. Very much.

KMidura 08-31-2005 08:56 PM

i got it to work, but i like the devotion, anyway, the first set and concert dvd should be out within the month (fingers crossed) until then enjoy

Walrus Gumboot 09-01-2005 04:40 PM

I'll get the VT show up when I have time (school just started, I'm swamped :upset: ) which may be tomorrow or this weekend :)
