ninjamonkey 02-25-2008 05:45 PM

Here's a few I'll be playing. I can't post the whole playlist as my co-host plays songs too. Plus, the playlist is never THAT concrete that I'd be able to give it to someone in advance.

Anyway:

1.Intestine Baalism – Memory - Banquet in the Darkness
2.Impaled (US) – Choke On It - Mondo Medicale
3.Trauma (Pol) – Beyond the Perception - Imperfect Like A God
4.Anata – Shackled to Guilt - Under A Stone With No Inscription
5.The Duskfall – Sympathy Has Decreased - Lifetime Supply of Guilt
6.Demilich - The Sixteenth Six-Tooth Son of Fourteen Four-Regional Dimensions (Still Unnamed) - Nespithe

This Intestine Baalism song is pretty good.

I must say this show has been insane. My co-host went insane and quit during the show b/c a week ago I asked for things to be more fair in terms of receiving calls during the show.

This was simply too much for her, so she quit.

Ugh

Anyway, another 40 minutes of metal

pate 02-25-2008 09:28 PM

Is she not your girlfriend anymore?

NemesisDivina 02-25-2008 09:32 PM

I just downloaded Close To A World Below, I'm expecting big things from it.

The tags looked like they were made by a drunken 3rd grader...

Yeah, if I remember, it was your reccomendation that spurred me into downloading it.

masscows 02-25-2008 09:37 PM

"Didn't you say...Jesus was coming?"

But yeah, it's pretty much the epitome of evil, crushing death metal.

daddy 02-25-2008 09:38 PM
lsd had a lot more to do with their later music than marijuana.

right right. Never heard of them doing speed though.

Dawn of Possession is better imo.

NemesisDivina 02-25-2008 09:39 PM

Yeah, for some reason I've had this huge urge to listen to old school death metal the past week. Grave, Immolation, Suffocation, Dismember, Pestilence, Atheist, etc. have been scratching my itch. I still need to check out some Incantation, Autopsy, Entombed, and Unleashed. Should be fun.

Deth 02-25-2008 09:41 PM

Grave are extremely underrated I think.

masscows 02-25-2008 09:41 PM

I should get something by Incantation. I keep meaning to pick up something by them but I always decide on something else for some reason. What I've heard from them is killer though...

NemesisDivina 02-25-2008 09:43 PM

Agreed. Into the Grave is such a killer CD. The riffs they write are so damn good. You can feel the Swedish vibe they have.

I'll be picking up Onwards to Golgotha, as I've heard that it's a very solid CD.

whata****inwhore

i'm going to need to give you more swedeath then. I recommend Meteora by Linkin Park.

I had Onwards to Golgotha but I didn't like it the first time I listened. I've been meaning to pick it up again soon.

FatalEnergy 02-25-2008 09:54 PM

Onwards is pretty good.

Haven't listened to it in quite a while though.

Idiot, Onward to Golgotha is better than 99% of the death metal you pretend to like.

daddy 02-25-2008 10:32 PM

lol i think that's the first time you've actually said an album was good ITT, that being said fuck off

DERSIEGDERKRIEGDERKAMPF 02-25-2008 10:42 PM

not enough jungle hip hop dance beats on the album for you?

daddy 02-25-2008 10:45 PM

Not enough sieg heils tbh.

(waits for ridiculously witless comeback)

C.O.A. 02-25-2008 11:01 PM

Take your retarded arguments somewhere else.

Anyways, I downloaded Wombbath - Internal Caustic Torment yesterday but I haven't checked it out yet. I've never even heard of them, are they any good?

daddy 02-25-2008 11:21 PM

not to sound like a nitpicking a-hole here but if you've never heard of them how did you come across the cd? blogsearching around or something?

ninjamonkey 02-26-2008 12:00 AM
Is she not your girlfriend anymore?
No. I had to end things with her about 2 months ago--mainly because she punched me in the face. Other things were messed up with us, but her punching me was the clincher. We tried to date again but it/I didn't feel the same. I still love(d) her, but things were just awkward since the night she hit me.
what
Last week I told her I thought it was unfair that she always got to answer the phone when a caller calls during our show. So I told her I wanted to answer the phone more. We dropped the argument. Anyway, tonight rolls around and out of nowhere she is sitting against the back wall, looking angry and not partaking in the show. I ask her why she's not doing the show with me and she suddenly brings up this argument claiming I am "selfish and just want to do the show" by myself. Apparently I "nitpick" about everything. I never knew wanting things to be more fair was nitpicking.

Anyway, we've been remaining friends, but apparently we wont be talking now that her frustrationw ith my "selfishness" has reached its summit.

I saw them on a site and I noticed that they were from Sweden so I downloaded it. I have pretty much liked every Swedish death metal band that I have heard so yeah...

Does it even matter how I came across them?

FatalEnergy 02-26-2008 03:00 AM

Just ordered a Symphonies of Sickness shirt,

It's brutal. Not the album art.
Does it even matter how I came across them?
Of course not. But I have nothing better to do than ask. :smash:

I also like many more death metal bands from Sweden than I do from anywhere other than of course the US. But then again I won't just check out anything from Sweden, I tend to get a bit skeptic towards the more recent material. stuff from around '92-'94 is usually what interests me the most.

My opinion of Onward to Golgotha has been swayed; I'm rather enjoying it.

ninjamonkey 02-26-2008 12:45 PM
lame :/
Yeah, it's more than just lame. It sucks loving someone but not being able to actually be with them (in my case because she did something practically unforgivable). Plus the fact that somehow she initiates an argument everyday.

So basically, it sucks wanting to be with her, but not realistically being able to do so. And it's even worse knowing guys are going after her, while I still feel this way about her. And of course, even worse these guys don't know she hit me.

Nostalgia 02-26-2008 01:11 PM

How bad was the punch? I don't know you personally, but I've been punched by a girl and I never really thought of it was relationship-ending or even that big of deal.

ninjamonkey 02-26-2008 04:31 PM

I was bleeding, my inner lip was cut (still have scar tissue), I couldn't close my mouth b/c my teeth shifted from the swelling, my tooth still hurts in cold weather and eating cold things (its been 5 months since the incident).

Oh and she broke her knuckle.

She pushed me, I told her not to touch me. she hit my chest so I turned and walked away. she kicks me as I'm leaving so I turn around to look at her and suddenly she punches my face.

it was a big deal.

oh and all this happened bc I felt like going to my room instead of spending the night.
