Adam keeps pigs. So maybe he's getting them to grow wings, and then they'll fly and drop albums everywhere for us!

Im delirious from waitalitous

Rothmans 08-02-2005 09:06 AM

Well with the collabration I am obviously gonna say Neurosis.

Refl 08-02-2005 09:10 AM

Tool and Limp Bizkit.

Best collaboration ever.

Refl 08-02-2005 09:10 AM

Think of the possibilities of adding Fred to the mix.
Think of the possibilities of adding Fred to the mix.
I can just imagine replacing Maynard's voice with Fred's on a few songs....

It makes me want to stick scissors into my ears.

Refl 08-02-2005 09:16 AM

God....

some people need to like, expand their minds. ;)

Darkness 08-02-2005 09:25 AM

I'll upload the Rage/Tool song now, I rather like it.

Collaberation? Lets share the vocals between Maynard and Mikeal Åkerfeldt, split the guitar 2 ways, with Adam and Peter Lindgren while we keep Justin on bass (Mendez is cool, but Chancellor is better) and split percussion between Lopez and Carey. :D

So in other words, Tool + Opeth.

kurrpt 08-02-2005 09:28 AM

i fukking hate fred durst with a passion....but somehow he fukked so many hot bitches, so i have to give him some props

Darkness 08-02-2005 09:28 AM

Heres can't kill the rev: http://s36.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1O4DUFAJ0MR9720PURR1O4RTE7

Syncratic 08-02-2005 01:17 PM

That song (Revolution)...ugh..I couldn't listen to it for more than a minute...the quality was terrible.

I'm sure given a better quality version I would've liked it.

Darkness 08-02-2005 01:18 PM

It is bad quality, but I think its great. I love the rawness to it. Theres lyrics on Toolshed for it.

I like your way of thinking.. What about.. Carrey on tablas, and Lopez on normal drums? (or the other way around, aren't they both schooled in using the tabla? Or is it some other percussive instrument that lopez plays?)

Adam Jones is GOD 08-02-2005 01:46 PM

I think thats the only version in existance though. Still, nice to know two revolutionary bands joined for a least one song

Could you imagine the live performance if there was one?

Adam Jones is GOD 08-02-2005 01:54 PM
Could you imagine the live performance if there was one?
Comically, yes.

MJK would hide at the back, while Zack goes metal at the front.

Danny would drum away like his normal beasty self, while <insert RATM drummer name> would stop halfway through, from either heart attack, or in awe.

Justin and Brad would be arguing over the age old pick vs finger argument, and would turn up their basses so loud, Paul D'armour (sitting bitterly in the front row) would poop himself.

Adam and Tom would blow a fuse with all their effect pedals, then they'll probably go and watch Star Trek together.

Rothmans 08-02-2005 01:54 PM

Mendez is better than chancellor sorry to say it but he is.

*Brad Wilk.

Holy crap, that's the funniest thing I've read in a while.

But, it's all true.

Just looking back I am gonna be nicer now in all threads hopefully.

So whats everyones predictions with the new tool album.

I mean what date and is there really a dvd?

Dvd I am not quite sure and the cd either september or october maybe november or january.

Darkness 08-02-2005 02:13 PM
Mendez is better than chancellor sorry to say it but he is.
Actually no, Mendez is a good bassist, but he rarely shows it any of his songs because I believe Mike said that he prefers simple bass in Opeth. Chancellor on the other hand, shows his skill all the time with brilliant melodies, (The Grudge, Disposition) sweet effect riffs (The Patient) and the catchiest thing ever (Schism).

The drummers name is Brad Wilk, the bassist name is Tim Commerford/ Timmy C./ Y.tim.K/ Tim.com

Adam Jones is GOD 08-02-2005 02:16 PM

Justin is a better riff writier for bass, Mendez is more techinically proficient. (oh, IMO of course :))

As for the album, I still stick to my 24th October prediction* to allow me to get it for my birthday the same week. DVD, either it'll never happen this year, or one will be released with the album.

*fools hope

Dammit, I knew a name, but wrong rythmn section.

Darkness 08-02-2005 02:18 PM

I hope something comes out Christmas time, so I can get it for my birthday. :D

Edit: Mendez just follows the rhythm guitar though, Chancellor at least changes things up.

Syncratic 08-02-2005 02:41 PM

My birthday's the fifth of September...this month (or early September :thumb:) would be ideal for the release, at least in my eyes.

Darkness 08-02-2005 02:42 PM

Probably won't happen this month.. but maybe with some luck September.

Syncratic 08-02-2005 02:45 PM

If it was September...my god, that would be sweet.

Mr Herb 08-02-2005 02:46 PM

prob wont even be this year

Mr Benners 08-02-2005 03:26 PM

If it was this year, it would make my year EVEN MORE than seeing DT in October

But I really doubt it will be this year :(

OOOOH that PT album (Stupid Dream) was AMAZING! I loved it! I already have In Absentia and a few songs off Deadwing, but that has totally convinced me that they are great. I think I may go for Voyage 34 next... or does someone have a better suggestion?

Adam Jones is GOD 08-02-2005 03:29 PM

Im so in love with In Absentia at the moment. its been on my MP3 player for a record of 7 days now.

Wedding Nails is awesome, but I could say that about any track. That one just sticks in the mind at the moment.

Shadius 08-02-2005 03:30 PM

I think it will be this year. Just not September or October, maybe November? December? Thats what my bets are on.

/goes to play on guitar

clearvision 08-02-2005 03:32 PM

Yeah Refl, i got number 2 on your test after some help from AJIG, yes I'm embarrased :( The first one could be any song by that band :\

ThePatient 08-02-2005 03:35 PM
Tool and TMV would be interesting. Though from what i've heard of TMV live, their singer sucks ass. He spends most of his time dancing around and spinning his mic stand around rather than singing, and when he does he sounds so undisciplined, out of tune and out of key. The rest of the band seem good though.
I've made it my life's mission to spread the word that TMV does not suck live anymore. Cedric used to be really bad, but now they're just as good live as they are in-studio.

Syncratic 08-02-2005 03:35 PM

The Sound of Muzak is my favorite on that album. I love it.
