I've only got Finally We Are No One. It's a great album, but after I listened to it a few times, I could never really be bothered listening to any of the songs other than "Green Grass of Tunnel". Do their other albums have more songs like that?
You might want to check out Summer Make Good. The sound is more organic and matured, but the songs seems to be a little bit more melancholic. Still though, it's excellent.

Einstürzende Neubauten - Tabula Rasa
The Stares - Spine to Sea

Jaga Jazzist are the perfect thing to listen to while driving.

YDload 01-01-2006 04:19 PM

I'm listening to Zen Arcade, but I have trouble remembering who sings with what voice. One of them is very melodic (like in Pink Turns to Blue) but another one is much more raspy. How do I separate Hart and Mould? Allmusic tends to say that Hart has the more melodic voice, but I just don't know. I also know that whoever wrote the song sang it, but I can't remember the distinctions.

I used to know the difference.

Today I got New Day Rising by them, and its basicly more melodic Zen Arcade. I like it alot.

YDload 01-01-2006 06:08 PM

I've heard "Girl Who Lives on Heaven Hill" and I like it a lot. I don't hesitate to say that New Day Rising will someday be part of my collection :)

Ussually SST had their records extremely overpriced, and for some reason they were cheap as hell today. So I think I'l be buying all the Husker Du cds I can get my hands on.

Good stuff. I like New Day Rising more than Zen Arcade.

Daniel! 01-01-2006 07:05 PM

I've only had Zen Arcade for a few days, so it may grow on me.

Jawaharal 01-01-2006 07:17 PM

I bought the new nuggets box set and I'm diggin it alot.

Daniel! 01-01-2006 07:19 PM

Now I'm liking me some Spoonboy - I Love You, This Is a Robbery.

Bukowski 01-01-2006 07:24 PM

New Day Rising, Zen Arcade and Flip Your Wig are all on the same level of awesomeness for me. If i was made to choose the best, i'd pick Zen Arcade.

I've been diggin:

Frank Zappa - Hot Rats
This Bike is a Pipe Bomb - Front Seat Solidarity
Captain Beefheart - Ice Cream for Crow
Apparently everyone does except me. NDR is a better album I guess, but ZA hits me a lot harder.
It was thanks to your review of Zen Arcade that I downloaded the song "Pink Turns to Blue" and eventually fell in love with the band. Thanks!
