Nah, it obviously is :p
But I don't like it as much, in fact I hate One.
By the way, what's FTB?

Hey everyone, whats up. I love metallica. they are probly my favorite band. I mostly like there old stuff (1st 4 cds) but there newer stuff is still acceptable!

My favorites are probly
Creeping Death

fade to black
one

Whatever the usual.
hey great list, welcome to the forums :chug:

Joe 02-28-2005 08:35 AM
Nah, it obviously is :p //By the way I'm being sarcastic, the two songs are not related in any way.
To say they are similar is to say 3 Doors Down's Kryptonite is a Sanitarium (Welcome Home) 2.
But I don't like it as much, in fact I hate One.
By the way, what's FTB?
still a good song, but Sanitarium is better

btw, it's Welcome Home (Sanitarium)
sorry man but i have to dissagree with you there, cliff burton cood kik jasons *** up n down the stage but i do admit jason is a good bassist i think cliff was the best, then jason and then rob, they are all very good but cliff will kik their asses any day :thumb:
:thumb:

jason is a great bassist. but your right, cliff OR rob could kick jason's ass on stage. rob is like a gorilla on stage, but he's pretty amazing.

Joe 02-28-2005 08:42 AM

agreed.

over the past few weeks i've changed some opinions (after seeing more cliff footage and buying KEA)

cliff > rob > jason

Joe 02-28-2005 08:45 AM
Jason didn't play on AJFA, their producer, Bob Rock, played bass on that album. Not to mention he underproduced the bass sound for it. That's the biggest AJFA complaint.

Edit: This may be wrong but its what I've heard before.

Edit 2: After googling I think it is wrong. I think Jason played the bass, and Rock just screwed it up.
Jason did play on AJFA, they started auditions the day after Cliff's funeral. The Burtons told Metallica it's what their son would have wanted. Bob Rock also wasn't the produced until the Black Album.

i no jason is brilliant on the live sh*t dvd's and thats y i put him second best.

cliff played his bass like its a guitar which is amazing > jason is a brilliant bassist and has kiked major *** while he was in metallica > rob is gd with his speed n funk/wah solos, i saw him live i no wot im talkin about. hes a briliant bassist but not compared to jason and cliff

Live **** is great. I love the Seattle concert. Especially Blackened at the start. It rocks my socks :thumb:

Leper 02-28-2005 01:04 PM
As a Metallica fan you couldnt make a better purchase. I would recomend it over SKOM, but thats just my opinion.
EDIT Im talking about Live sh*t
all this talk makes me wish i had money. :upset:

Endless Obsession 02-28-2005 01:12 PM
I know how you feel. I bought live sh*t abroad, so I paid a little less then normal.
Next on my to get list: Cliff Em All
Yeah you should definitly get cliff 'em all if u are into there older stuff. the quality isnt that good but it really is a sweet dvd, just as good as live shit in my opinion.

My favorite songs off it are Metal Militia, Fade to Black, and Four Horsemen, they play them sweet.

btoto 02-28-2005 01:23 PM

On March 9th I'm becoming 20...............shi, I'm getting old :upset:

So, I already started receiving money from relatives and friends and I'm thinking about buying these CDs:

Metallica - Garage Inc, Reload, SKOM, 2 Years in Life of Metallica and S&M missing to complete my 'tallica CD/DVD collection
Megadeth - Peace Sells
Bush - Sixteens Stone
Husker Du - Zen Arkade
Yngwie Malmsteen - Attack !
Angelwitch (if I manage to find any CD of them)
QOTSA - Songs For The Deaf

Also, I'm not rich ! I'm from a little ex-soviet country so everthing costs very cheap here as compared to your (US, Europe) prices.

For example in dollars, a CD (with booklet/lyrics if included) here costs about 2,5 dollars. A DVD costs about 6 dollars.

And I already recieved 40 dollars as a present from my older sister. :naughty:

Going to visit some record stores this week :naughty:

btoto 02-28-2005 01:28 PM
Dont some of the songs have Mustaine playing lead guitar?
Only Whiplash...I think

BTW, I got a whole video concert of 'tallica with Dave.
