I didn't mind Enemy Of God, the title track owns. The Gothenburg stuff isn't awful, but I wish they could have done more of World Anarchy and Enemy Of God type tracks.

Yeah :(
I just started learning Rise From The Ashes on guitar. Awesome song. |

My thoughts exactly... |
man i loved this album i found way better then VR i really liked enemy of god it was an azaming song. it was an amazing come back for them i think IMO. but i would have to say still my favorite album is coma of souls.
|
Terrible Certainty (aka the forgotten album) is still my favorite.
I got a cd by this band called Spiral Architect........they are some wacked out prog/fazz/fusion/wierd metal, it almost makes Dream Theater look simple. I also picked up Death - Live in LA, and King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King, and the new Demons & Wizards - Touched by the Crimson King ......the Crimson King sure gets around, doesn't he? |
aahh i didnt really like the new demons and wizards cd to much

I've been looking to add it to my collection of DVDs. I'd say if the CD and DVD are identical, might as well own one >.> |
...but enough of that, everyone here needs to go listen to Ghoul.
THE MANIAXE ARE COMING FOR YOU!
:naughty: |
I have the audio of Live In LA, it's ok, but I'm not to keen on the sound.
|
Chuck's voice on Live in LA isn't that great, in my opinion. They do play some of their better songs though.
|
Yes he does

Death - Live.....I don't need to say anymore, it rules. Spriral Architect - Overly progressive and has no catchyness at all, but it makes for an intresting listen, because it's more technical than life itself. Demons and Wizard - It's alright, but the first was better. King Crimson - is....well it's alright, I was somewhat expecting something a bit different, it is from 1969 though. It's kinda hard to get into. oh well..........I need more thrash, it's getting harder for me to get it |
hey guys can someone tell me some good testament cds i just barrowed there dvd of one of my buddies and it was awsome
|
Spiral Architect is far too much wankery for my liking, except when I'm in the mood for that kind of thing.
The bass arrangements and such are amazing though, there is no denying the extreme technicality of that album. I checked out Xentrix a day or so ago and listened to it today, and it's excellent. :) |

It depends how you accept the music. Treat it like a time capsule. That's what I did with my Destroyer 666 CD. 1969 though...hmm...60s rock :D |
Yeah, The whole King Crimson album had 5 "songs", I would say only one was a song. The rest of it was like a guy that kept dropping his drum sticks and........that's about it. One song kept my attention, kind of sad
and that's coming from a guy who really digs Pink Floyd, so you know that the KC is really ....out there |

Get The Legacy and The New Order. |
o.k thanx ive downloaded some of there stuff fromthe album THE GATHERING it doesnt sound the same at but its pretty good i like DNR and True Believer
|
Stay away from Demonic....The Gathering isn't very good, and Low is mediocre. Everything else is pretty good IMO
|
Low > Demonic & The Gatherning
'nuff said  |
so pretty much its all there old stuff thats better?
|
Yeah, Low was much better. It at least had a few good songs on it, while Demonic was pure shit, and The Gathering is wanna-be thrash. Nothing will ever beat "The Legacy".....and yes, I'm one of those few people that like "The Ritual"
|

To me, yes. Face thinks Low isn't so great when I think it is  That bass solo on track 9 pwns everything they've ever done! |
To me, yes.

Alrighty then. Now I can sleep at night  I wonder where Greggie is anyways >.> I might be staying in his home town next week if my mom and sister go up to the East Bay. Funny if I saw him walking around randomly. |
He's actually in Testament right now, because they are still doing the reunion thing. I missed them twice within a week

Gah. That's one thing I wanted to see but didn't seem to have a way or place to see it. |

|
I met him, very nice and approachable guy. He had his beard at the time and so he kinda reminded me of a muppets character :p I also met Skolnick, but thats another story.
In other news heres the first review of the new Exodus album http://www.rockdetector.com/artist,3108.sm |
