I was just wondering why I (GenuineImitation) was banned. I just told the thread starter of the Zeppelin/Beatles thread to read the rules. I didn't flame the kid or bump the thread. If anything I helped point the thread starter in a positive direction. This will be my one and only post during my ban. I was just curious.

hmm...Mods have now become more strict as far as spamming is concerned so you may have posted something that was considered spam...

Yeah, that was strange I got banned for saying that best/worst threads weren't aloud. I'm not like...bitching about it, I'm just wondering why I got banned, this is my first ban I've ever gotten so I was a little shocked.

It wasn't even really spam, I even posted the thread in here asking for it to be closed, I know the spam rules are getting tigher, but that was a little too tight. I could really care less about the length of the ban, It was just surprising.

You're not supposed to post in it at all, having three people posting how it's not allowed is pointless. Reporting will do. Threadstarters should find the rules on their own. That's what I think anyway.

If I would of made some sort of a spam-related comment, then I believe I’d deserve a ban, the guy had like 14 posts, I was trying to tell him these aren’t aloud, the only thing I think I should of done is link him to the rules. Does anyone know of any websites that have free downloads of the drums of a song? It's fun playing with real songs but you don't know so much when you mess up (and if you want to record it you can't record with the original because it's got other guitars and vocals and bass). So does anyone know of a site that has midi drum song downloads? Like the midis are already made (because I'm not that smart).

Alright. A word to the wise. I've decided to start copying Jelle's examples when it comes to illegal threads and the community thread.

Short bans will ensue if your post is basically unneccesary.

Yeah, I agree. But it really needs to depend on what the comment is. If there is a large repetition of "Oh, these threads are illegal, noob" Then, yeah, they deserve a ban. But if the person has reported the thread and told the user that they don't belong, then I don't see what rule they're actually breaking.

Just my opinion.
