yikes, so behind...1. in moby dick, bonham just does the bass, floor, tom triplets for a couple minutes...it just gets louder and louder and faster..insane..Moon's bass drums were awesome..he had the double bass, but he hardly ever did any real patterns..he just hit them both at the same time =p

2. the greatest driving song EVER is green onions by booker t and the mg's. it's just so cool...
if thats true, classic rock is DOOMED!!!

i cannot STAND the darkness.
Most likely you quoted rock because he's the only one in the thread who talks like that

He was being sarcastic.

ToRidTheDisease 10-23-2004 02:27 PM

i like the darkness a little bit, but they aren't bringing back classic rock, also i hate people calling a genre "classic rock", classic rock is just classic rock

Badmoon 10-23-2004 02:29 PM

It is a genre though. There are certain characteristics it hold that other's don't.

jpj 10-23-2004 02:29 PM

Music can't be classic rock if it's new. And I'm pretty sure rock said that.

ToRidTheDisease 10-23-2004 02:31 PM

magicbus 10-23-2004 04:12 PM

They have a "classic rock" style, but they aren't classic rock.

In 15 years you can call Gov't Mule classic rock.

You would be surprised at just what CDs records etc. your parents have, thanks to my dad I have never bought any led zep or mark Knopfler.

Do you classify Knopfler as classic, either way I like him, he is coming to Australia but only doing one show so iits real expensive, hopefully I will somehow end up going.

Creedence Clearwater 10-23-2004 05:38 PM

But what about how many cds records do you personally own?

I tell you but I will what for you first.

I sure as hell do. My dad has some of his stuff but i've bought one of his albums (the newest one called Shangri-La) with my own money.

Badmoon 10-23-2004 05:59 PM
They have a "classic rock" style, but they aren't classic rock.
Okay, a band has a techno style, they're techno, it's the same thing.

Creedence Clearwater 10-23-2004 06:00 PM

And I though I killed the thread, Oh yeah I only own 500.

Badmoon 10-23-2004 06:00 PM

BludgeonySteve 10-23-2004 06:02 PM

Who cares if they aren't classic rock? They have the style to be and that's all that matters.

MalcolmYoungRock 10-23-2004 06:03 PM

My parents don't own any records/ cds.

The only cd i've ever had to steal was the Doobie Brothers from my mom.

I suck :upset:
