\m/
Kickass. If all goes well, I'll see you there. |
Southern Lord Records just called me :)
They will tell me in some hours, at what time I am going to do the interview with Sunn O))) :p ... though I hardly have time, cause I have my last exam on Thursday |
Sun O))) > exams.
Oh wait, that isn't true actually, but it would be sad if you had to miss this interview. |
well, its my last exam; I told them, that I won't have time during the afternoon, so I plead her to do the interview shortly before or after the concert... she still hasn't called me back;
|
Ask them if you can do an interview during the gig.
The should just place their guitars on the amps,go woth you for half an hour and do the interview. The guitar and amp feedback should keep going for sometime, and well, it's very Sunn O))) like. :p |
rofl - nice idea!
The interview will take place at their hotel northwest of vienna... hehe... nice :) at 11am... so if you still wanna ask them anything, go ahead! btw. they've done a project with Boris, didn't they?! |
Yep, they released Altar together.
It's an awesome album. |
mkay...
|
It's the best thing Sunn ever done IMO. Ask them if they are going to do another collab album.
|
they did a soundtrack to a film by Jim Jarmusch - I am going to ask that... and if they wanna to a project together with Lustmord; that could be kinda interesting.
|
Ask them if they ever played the brown note.
 |
omg can't wait for the new Ahab
|
wtf is the brown note?!
|
a note so low it causes you to have an involuntary bowel movement
supposedly |
ah, you mean that one south park episode?
edit: and yes, i am going to ask them that :D |
omg can't wait for the new Ahab
Same here, it'll be epic. I might actually go to the musicstore on the other side of the border. It's released a few days earlier in Germany then in the Netherlands.
ah, you mean that one south park episode? edit: and yes, i am going to ask them that :D
hahaha, cool! But in all seriousnes, All these low frequencies probably are bad for you if you're exposed to it for so long. |
so, 2h left :)
|
goddamn, what an awesome interview!
Stephen was such a friendly guy... great time; I will tell you everything later on... now I have to learn for my exam. |
Awesome Kacper.
Great to hear that. I'm waiting for the answer on the brown note question. But first, good luck with learning. |
Just wanted to let everyone here know that the official website and our My Space page have been updated with a significant amount of news, but I'll summarize here anyway:
1. I have stepped aside as lead vocalist for a plethora of reasons, and after almost a year of covert rehearsals, I'm pleased to announce the new singer is Rain Irving from the old Magna Carta prog metal band Altura. I will be focusing primarily on guitar, just like back in '89, but will contribute harmony vocals and so forth along with Jim and Michelle. 2. We've booked a month of studio dates throughout the summer to complete the "Vast Oceans Lachrymose" album. The masters will be delivered to Cruz Del Sur Music by September 1st, allowing for a 2009 release. 3. New merch will be available in time for the Born Too Late festival, and we will have enough surplus for Internet orders after the fact as well. We are also in the process of renewing our EU merch deal, so there will be further designs available in 2010. 4. There will be a vinyl pressing of "VOL" and other subsequent releases made available throughout the 2009-2010 20th anniversary 5. We are in the process of planning dates in the EU for 2010 and a couple other shows domestically...more on that soon. For more detailed info on these developments, feel free to peruse www.whileheavenwept.com and www.myspace.com/whileheavenwept Looking forward to seeing everyone again in Rochester and beyond. Official Cruz Del Sur Music updates will follow in the next couple months.
Also, for anyone who hasn't heard yet, the Hour of 13 singer left. |
holy ****, im assuming this means hes not gonna do vocals in new york.
**** |
Yeah. :(
|
I e-mailed him and asked. It's complete bullshit if he doesn't, considering WHW's fans have been waiting to hear the actual WHW with Tom, not some new vocalist. Seriously, I won't even go if he's not doing vocals. This is ridiculous.
|
Seriously, I won't even go if he's not doing vocals. This is ridiculous.
I understand any frustration very well, but to the point of not even wanting to see them live anymore? |
If it's not with Tom Phillips on vocals it's not While Heaven Wept.
|
high on fire
|
High on Fire is amazing, can't wait to hear the new stuff, I think they are recording this summer if I remember right. Also Black Cobra should have a new one out this summer.
