Oh guys i'm havin the worst morning. For the first time in like 5 months, I actually went to bed before midnight. I was so happy with that. Then, I get woken up at 4:50 AM by some stupid whore on MSN. How could this happen? My MSN was set to busy!
Well, I turned around, and noticed my snare was way out of place. I mean, it was behind the throne, instead of between the pedals. Then I look back towards the computer, and my sheet music had been turned over and written upon.

Now it was either my cousin Jay, or the two Polish twins. Right now im guessing twins, because the grammar is a little quirky, but overall, they really fucked up my morning.

Aside from that.....How is everyone?

LoneStarDrummer 10-19-2005 11:23 PM

I'm freaking Happy because tommorrow I have a calculus test and i'm gonna tear it up. not literaly tear it up, but i'm going to do really good on it i just know it.

it's a real good feeling to know your about to fly through a test in college.

Win A Rabbit 10-19-2005 11:28 PM

that is a good feeling, unfortunately it only happens to me in classes that i don't really need to tear it up on. it's always the classes i'm doing bad in that i'm scrambling to study as the teacher's walking around the class, handing the tests out.

Double Bass Jim 10-19-2005 11:30 PM

Good luck on the cackyalus.

LoneStarDrummer 10-19-2005 11:31 PM

had that happen just today in physics.

and thanks jim

Double Bass Jim 10-19-2005 11:33 PM

I never studied and was able to do good on tests for some reason hahah. Only way I passed with "fair" grades in HS.

LoneStarDrummer 10-19-2005 11:38 PM

in HS i rarely ever studied and managed to graduate with honors in the top 10% of my class, but in college, i can't seem to manage without some studying.

this week alone i've spent more hours studying than i probably did my whole senior year in HS

Double Bass Jim 10-19-2005 11:40 PM

Oh yea I don't doubt it, that math stuff... jesus man I don't know how ANYONE does that. Me and numbers don't get along. I can barely get by on basic math let alone insane math.

Brokensticks 10-19-2005 11:45 PM

Same with me the math they are teaching these days is stupid. My brother in grade 10 last year needed help and my dad said he did that math in university. It's amazing how they teach us so much uneccessary stuff nowadays. I think they could teach us more about drums. That there is needed!!!

Seafroggys 10-19-2005 11:47 PM

Yeah I was like top 20% of my class, so damn lazy, rarely did homework, never read anything in my Senior AP English class, and pulled off a B in that class.

Double Bass Jim 10-19-2005 11:47 PM

Haha well math is very important, a good grasp on basic math is SO usefull. I wish I was better at it all the time.

Win A Rabbit 10-19-2005 11:48 PM

i'm good with numbers, i'm just utter garbage when it comes to formulas. i'm one of those people, that instead of writing "x=y/3" etc., i'll draw out pictures and work on it from there. i just can't use formulas. and in high school, you have to do formulas. you can get the answer your own way, but the question will be out of 3, and you only get one mark for the answer. stuff like that. if i could have done math my way, i would have easily had 90's.

Tim 10-19-2005 11:48 PM

i agree with a lot of math being tought that doesnt need to be. i mean all i remember is +,-, dividision, and all the basic stuff.

LoneStarDrummer 10-19-2005 11:49 PM

drummer54

that's a good point. i can go on for hours talking about drums, or music in general. the stuff they're teaching us in calculus is absolutely insane. that's why it feels so good to actually understand it, unlike my first test.

anyways as far as talking about drums/music in general, my sister's boyfriend knows a lot about rock music and he and i can get to talking about it for quite some time. to bad he's not a drummer because i'd go on forever.

Brokensticks 10-19-2005 11:50 PM

I know theres no way i'm going to remember all this stuff and i'm only in grade 9 lol. Does anyone have any good user names??? I was thinking of changing mine it's not very creative seeing as we are all drummers....

Double Bass Jim 10-19-2005 11:52 PM

Lemme give ya an idea... Pre-algebra course in 9th grade I managed to get a 9% Bastards made me go to summer school to make the credit up :( Haha I never had a summer off once.

hahaha wtf. a 9%. geez. i tried to fail chemistry and i got an %18. wowzers

LoneStarDrummer 10-19-2005 11:54 PM

drummer54
you think your user name is bad, check out mine. i came up with it at about 2 in the morning one day. i'd been reading the forums for several months and one night i decided to become a member and that's the best i could come up with.

as you can see it's not very good. i was real tired at the time.

Double Bass Jim 10-19-2005 11:55 PM

Haha I never tryed at all though, I lucked out the next year... Had a teacher that I talked baseball with, I never did jack and I got an 86%

i had a 7% in comm tech last year. hated the class, all because of the teacher. he's actually the worst teacher in the school, and each year he announces his retirement, and for the 4th year in a row, he's come back. i had him today as a substitute for english, god the guy reads slow. think of spok reading a book in slow motion. it took an hour to read 23 pages. with our normal teacher, it would have taken half an hour at most.

LoneStarDrummer 10-19-2005 11:56 PM

DBJ

man no offense but that's horrible. at least your drumming skill and overall personality makes up for your lack of math skill.

Double Bass Jim 10-19-2005 11:57 PM

Yea the teacher I had was a real pud, I hated the guy... And basicly told em everyday I was in class that I did infact hate him.
