I like to look at as getting some new BM once in awhile like I do all other music I listen to. Only its a bit harder to find good stuff, but it's usually worth it when I do, but by no means do i give up on the genre, and if I find something that sucks hey that's one more negative rating to balance out my RYM.

I sometimes listen to Illnath. I'm not really into the black metal scene, so I really don't know if they're considered tr00. XD A lot of black metal guys like to bash on people that are non-black metal-elite.

They're a step up from cradle of filth, but not a very big one.

I don't make a huge effort to "look" for new stuff. I still check out new stuff sometimes, but I've got over 2000 albums. Out of all of them, there are maybe 200 that I even keep on my mp3 player. After a while things start running together. I haven't heard anything truly "groundbreaking" in a very long time. A band here, an album there that might be better than average, sometimes even what I would consider a great album. But 95% of the time I can point it back to a handful of bands/albums that have already done the exact same thing, and probably done it better.

Ah alright then. :P

Btw, I just saw an album cover in the 'What Are You Listening To' thread that looked cool. I was bored so now I'm checking out their music on myspace. Antestor was the band.
