Listened to ATDI for the first time this week, decent band but they won't become one of my favourites. Loving Andrew Bird and the Beautiful South (thanks Zebra and Med respectively). Everything else is same old same old. I've been getting back into solo Moz, he has a lot of decent stuff if you wade through the crap to find it.

Mostly random songs. Specifically, his new one and Signed, Sealed, Delivered. I heard SSD played at my older sister's wedding last January and it was awesome.

Yeah, that would actually work really well. Even just a mash up of those two albums would be pretty interesting.

The Perceptionists - Black Dialogue (probably best thing Def Jux have put out, so good)
The Wildhearts - P.H.U.Q.- I thought this album was boring when I first bought it, but two years of ignoring it have really thrown it up in my estimation. The group vocals are great.
I never understood why all kinds of critics said it was/is their best work. Thought it was more mature than Earth vs., I suppose. I thought it was kind of disappointing when I first got it too, I think, though I love it now, naturally. Not paying too much attention to it on my first couple of listens did mean I had the pleasure of being blindsided by Naivety Play one morning walking into school, though.

Bukowski 05-09-2006 09:07 AM

Turns out I didn't get to see Whirlwind Heat, as I couldn't get a ride. Damn.

I'm diggin' massive doses of Scratch Acid.

led-zep-chris 05-09-2006 09:23 AM

I'm digging Red Hot Chili Peppers at the moment, more than ever..
Well, I've been digging them ever since I got into them, about 4 years ago and today I bought Stadium Arcadium, the new release, double disc.. absolutely amazing.
I've just read the review for it on Sputnik and it really is great, its a must-have!

asymm 05-09-2006 09:42 AM

Listening to a couple of leaks today...

The Walkmen - A Hundred Miles Off
Scott Walker - The Drift

Bukowski 05-09-2006 09:54 AM

What did you think of the new Walkmen?

Greg Ginn 05-09-2006 09:56 AM

It is amazing beyond believe. I'd heard 'Cheka' and 'Cereal Killer' but the rest of them are amazing as well. I don't think there's a bad song on here. Redman is so underrated it's untrue.
