Alexi's now using more of his speaking voice, you can hear him kinda talk some words. The only example I can think of is "I refuse to be brought down by you" in Sixpounder, as opposed to the completely rasped verse in "Hatebreeder".
Btw, that list up there isn't the songs I know, it's just my favourite ones to play. :p |
heh, when I saw the video that came with the EP..it seemed whenever he spoke in English, he sounded like he had an American accent, haha...
|
In Passage to the Reaper he has a big Finnish accent.
"We have some riffs for yoo" |

OMg Alexi speaks wonderfull english1 I was talking to him after I saw them play

When he says Sinergy and Children of Boodom he literally says all 5 words in less than a second I swear...

Yea he's pretty crazy. When I saw them he said something about Brittany spears really fast and everyone was like "What?" it was funny Yea I talked to Trivium first (Matt gave me a pick) then I look over and see Alexi talking to his guitar tech so I went up and said Hi and thanked him for his music and his lessons in guitarworld. He gave me a sticker |
I'm seeing him at a real small venue in March, I really really really wanna talk to him.

You probably will. The reason I really got to talk to him was because I was in the very front being smashed against the stage all night. And when the show was over the people that worked at the venue pretty much pushed everyone out of the place. and sense I was last I was closest to the band and then they locked the gates so I had to ask them to let me out. I shouldv'e waited longer so I could walk out with the bands |
ok, im confused... CoB covered Europe´s The final countdown?
|
No, it's a mislabel. It was actually by Norther.
|

That would be kinda cool... |
That would be kinda cool...
Norther's version was pretty cool despite the fact that the vocals were awful. |
And there was little to no keyboard.
|
And there was little to no keyboard.
*listens again* very true. |
I downloaded a song by CoB called Mass Hypnosis. Is it a mislabel because it kinda sounds like them...
Good song though. |

Good song though.
Yea its them, maybe. I know they did a cover of it at least. The best cover Bodom did in my opinion is Rebel Yell. |
It's by them yes, and originally by Sepultura. Anyone notice the one random lick from Lake Bodom in there though? I can't imagine it's in the original, although I've never heard it, but who's dumb enough to cover a song they ripped off?
|
I would love to get the "Shot in the dark" cover. I had it but the MP3 flipped out and I accidently deleted it from my PC
|
It is a horrible cover, they don't add anything but those wretched vocals.
|

They talk about what riffs they used as influences on their official site. Is it me, or is there a lick in Living Dead Beat that sounds very close to the end of the solo in Pull Harder On The Strings Of Your Martyr by Trivium. It sounds very close except for the last note is different. |

I can send it to you if you want it... |
I haven't heard the song by Trivium enough to really know, I could go check out the tabs and compare though.
They ripped themselves off in We're Not Gonna Fall. They steal an exact measure from Black Widow. |
Oh awesome, I get the first gig of the North American tour.
That would be cool
brittonmadcap@yahoo.com
I'll just yousendit in case someone else wants it, ok? EDIT: The lick in Living Dead Beat is at about 3:30, which is after the keyboard interlude/solo thing. The part in the Trivium song is right at the end of the solo/s. |
