Maybe you guys should just look into some bands you haven't checked out.
Or just start enjoying the bands you have cds of. Quit looking for the next quick fix. |
My friends got stoned out of their minds and went to see them. They said they've never been higher and that it was the greatest thing they've ever done.
-Gav
SunnO))) is a classic stoner band. |
ROFL IT WAS CALLED PG. 99
I hate those bands that try to be pg. 99 like Architects. I seriously f'ucking hate Architects and Rusty. He ripped off like 5,000 people on VLV. F'ucking deadbeat. And while he had the time to never send anyone their shirts from LAST September, he did have the time to start a new band AND make demos AND mail everyone those demos. Yeah that f'uckhead. Anyways, yeah hardcore has been kinda dull. All the good bands haven't released anything new in a while with the exception of Ampere and Sinaloa. Those bands are really keeping the scene alive too. I'll just listen to The Mars Volta until some new releases come around, and then I'll still listen to The Mars Volta cause they own hard. Jared, we aren't looking for the next quick fix. There aren't any new bands in the hardcore scene that are good except for In Tongues/Brainworms/Verse en Coma/Sinaloa/Ampere and others that I'm forgetting to mention. I've listened to all my records and CD's plenty of times, and I enjoy them I'm just saying that its time for some new stuff to come around. |

I've enjoyed all of the albums I have. Just 'cause I have a good album doesn't mean I can't be bored of it. I want to hear something new. Oh I forgot to name drop The Champion Weekend. The Champion Weekend! Edit: Neeshee Architects anger me now. I liked the first demo song they released and they said they weren't done and they'd work on it. Months later they have tons more songs just trying to sound like pageninetynine. Oh and The Flood lick my left nut. |
Architects are just recycled garbage. They are doing the same chaotic thing that so many band have already done. It's boring, its not new, its unoriginal, they just need to shut up and write something oringinal instead of trying to be the next Orchid/Pg. 99. The Flood were just....yeah.....
The Champion Weekend are a midi band, but they own. They aren't hardcore related, but they you guys should check em out. |
They aren't straight up hardcore, but they have A LOT of hardcore influence, especially on the album Kill the Camera.

The Champion Weekend = <3
Someone want to send me some Sinaloa and Life At These Speeds (are they a band?) stuff? I've heard Sinaloa's stuff on MySpace and I liked it. -Gav |
I feel the exact same way. The only bands associated with it that I've been listening to are The Casket Lottery and Brainworms. Everything else is just so repetitive. I'm tired of listening to the same bands over and over and when I finally hear a new band, thinking "I was just listening to this 5 minutes ago except then, it was called pageninetynine."
PS "Ropes Course" is the best hardcore song of the year.
You sent me that song. I like it, but I haven't been able to find anything else by them |
I have a whole live album. Hit me up if you want it.

Everyone should fall asleep to Sunn o))). It's fuckin trippy.
|
Brainworms is awesome.
I still can't get into Sunn O)). Maybe I'll get baked and listen to them. -Gav |
Falling asleep to them though it's just so weird. It's hard to explain, like you just are hearing this fucking bass fuzz in your ear and soon it envelops like your head until you just hear like a pervasive fuzz like you can't discern notes. And then you wake up feeling sick and not knowing where you are.
|
That sounds great. I'll definitely try that.

Falling asleep to Dark Side of the Moon = not smart
|
I'm just posting here because my forum is dead... >.>
|
Punk is dead too, or full of morons.
|
I've been trying to get people to call me at work because I'm bored.

Listening to Dark Side of The Moon while tripping balls= Awesome. Pink Floyd ftw. |
Man, the score to Requiem For A Dream is trippy. At least, I think so.
|
I like Architects :(...
|
Hahahaha <3?
|
I'm in the mood to start a chaotic emo band or a youth crew band.
|
I'm in the mood to listen to some Pink Floyd.
KFS Discography CD's are available for pre-order! |
I still have never heard Dark Side of the Moon
|
Oh Skrunnch, you must hear it. Although it's a bit overrated.
|
Neeshee, I saw that. I just didn't want to drop 12, then need it back. Is it just cd form? Becuase thats a bummer if it is.
|
Okay I'll check it out.
Also, what should I check out from Sunn O))? |
Yeah it's a CD for 12 bucks, and who are you?
|
