I have Breaking the Silence... I just can't stand it. Songs like Set Me Free just annoy the hell out of me.

pate 07-21-2006 11:16 PM

Damn. Another display of the vastness of varying tastes. :thumb:

Apocalyptic Raids 07-21-2006 11:49 PM

You should get their Demo, Ken. It's on their forums.

That song is a cover. Personally I think Breaking the Silence is a great album, but Victims of Deception poops on it heavily.

NP: Ghoul - Splatterthrash

Just got Resident Evil 4 for my 17th birthday, this game fucking pwns.

Very heavily.

np: Hanoi Rocks - 11th Street Kids "Bangkok Shocks, Saigon Shakes, Hanoi Rocks"

wrathchild88 07-22-2006 06:28 AM

Is that why I can't find a place to buy Victims of Deception that isn't ridiculously expensive?

We don't have a very good selection of CDs in the UK. I just ordered Metal Church - The Dark and it has to be imported from America!

The Negation 07-22-2006 06:32 AM

You can find some decent CDs in Camden...at Resurrection records but its only a few...i have that problem too, which is why im going on a CD binge when Im in America

It's out of print.

You know you can download it, right?

It costs me the price of a CD to get to Camden.

I guess I'll do the same. I'm going to Florida on the 5th :chug:
Although I won't be doing much :chug: ing because of their stupid drinking laws.

And yea, I knew I could download it, but its nice to have the actual CD and the booklet. I'll get Breaking the Silence instead.

I guess I'll give those a try.

NP: Festering Sore - Corprophagia

PIECES OF POOP FLOAT IN YOUR SOUP! \m/

And I'm going to go on DC++ to get Opressing the Masses....

Nepenthe 07-22-2006 06:22 PM

Victims Of Deception poops on alot of things heavily.

Riva 07-22-2006 06:38 PM

So, Metal Church. Power, speed, thrash or a delightful mix of the three?

Apocalyptic Raids 07-22-2006 06:40 PM

I'll take the easy way out, and call them Traditional.

^_^

Nepenthe 07-22-2006 06:43 PM
I'll take the easy way out, and call them Traditional.

^_^
Yeah, that's what I'd do haha.

Bazarov 07-22-2006 06:48 PM

My dad likes Metal Church so damn much.... he had the self-titled in our vehicle's cd player for a week and a half. Seriously. I think I should get more Metal Church.

Battalions ftw.

Nepenthe 07-22-2006 06:51 PM

My dad has had the same two cd's in his truck for about two years now. Static X and Def Leppard.

Blessing In Disguise is such a good cd.

Riva 07-22-2006 06:51 PM

wimps

Butcher, your dad is awesome.

EDIT: Anthony, your dad is awesome too.

Apocalyptic Raids 07-22-2006 06:53 PM

I've only heard Metal Church.

:(

Bazarov 07-22-2006 06:53 PM
I've only heard Metal Church.

:(
As have I.

The original singer died in a car crash a few years ago I heard.... =/

Apocalyptic Raids 07-22-2006 06:55 PM

Yeah, he did.

I think it was just last year.

Nepenthe 07-22-2006 06:57 PM
I've only heard Metal Church.

:(
Get Blessing In Disguise right this instant.

Bazarov 07-22-2006 06:57 PM

Oh. That suck though, I totally dig his vocals.

NP: Vio-lence - Mentally Afflicted
July 22, 2006 - Lamb of God, Opeth, Arch Enemy, Overkill, Into Eternity, Sanctity and The Smashup are confirmed for Gigantour 2. More second stage acts are to be named at a later date

pate 07-23-2006 02:43 PM

Indeed.

Apocalyptic Raids 07-23-2006 07:33 PM

If Overkill are on the Australian Leg, then I might go.

Nepenthe 07-23-2006 08:11 PM

I would ****ing kill to see Overkill live. They don't have any Texas dates yet though. I will tear down entire city blocks if one isn't announced.

pate 07-23-2006 08:16 PM

I would have much rather had Testament, but Overkill will still own.

Apocalyptic Raids 07-23-2006 08:17 PM

Overkill are way better than Testament.

Bazarov 07-23-2006 08:21 PM

I'd agree. The only song that comes to mind that I like by Testament is Electric Crown.

Nepenthe 07-23-2006 08:24 PM

Testament are great, but not as good as Overkill. Practice What You Preach is a beast though.

Stormrider 07-23-2006 08:25 PM

I own Practice What You Preach and The New Order. I rather Practice What You Preach though.

/first post

Poofy 666 07-23-2006 08:27 PM

Over the Wall is a good song. Apart from that... :-\

But I would kill to see Overkill and Into Eternity live...

Apocalyptic Raids 07-23-2006 08:42 PM

The best thing about Testament are the guitar leads.

Stormrider 07-23-2006 08:43 PM

Sure. But they have some awsome riffs aswell.

Poofy 666 07-23-2006 08:45 PM

On their older stuff maybe, but compare their riffs to those of Dark Angel...

Stormrider 07-23-2006 08:49 PM

Dark Angel are awsome. I should borrow my bro's Darkness Descends tonight...and get The Time Does not Heal aswell.

Poofy 666 07-23-2006 08:50 PM
Dark Angel are awsome. I WILL borrow my bro's Darkness Descends tonight...and get The Time Does not Heal aswell.
yes.

Apocalyptic Raids 07-23-2006 08:51 PM

Darkness Descends is classic.

and Time Does Not Heal rules, also.

Poofy 666 07-23-2006 08:51 PM

Gene Hoglan reigns supreme.

Nepenthe 07-23-2006 08:52 PM

Darkness Descends would easily get into my top 5 thrash albums of all time.
