Why the hell do people use rapidshare so much?

I want to download the rest of the Sandman comics, because I've only ever read the first book and I really liked it but $20 is way too much for each book. I can't find it on megaupload, of course, and Rapidleecher is a pile of crap so it's going to take days to get it of rapidshare.
