basically anyone that doesn't reply often to musicianforums, regardless of their opinion or the content and quality of their opinions? Are you trying to encourage mindless spaming or what?

Joe 01-15-2005 10:33 PM
thank god we're back on track

it was unbelievable

they played a lot of old stuff at first and then rob did his 5 min doodle then more stuff then kirk fooled around then they went off stage for about 10 mins then came back with fade to black (my fav song)

then they went off for another 20-30 mins and came back and did heros and S&D...

NEVER LEAVE A METALLICA SHOW UNTIL THE HOUSE LIGHTS ARE UP!!!

JACKROXYOU 01-15-2005 10:34 PM

so you liked robs solo gocaps

Joe 01-15-2005 10:34 PM
basically anyone that doesn't reply often to musicianforums, regardless of their opinion or the content and quality of their opinions? Are you trying to encourage mindless spaming or what?
no there are a bunch of noob's that make really great posts

it's just there are more that refuse to read the rules and make their first thread their first post too.

JACKROXYOU 01-15-2005 10:35 PM

yeah they went down in the stage then came back after most the crowd left and played seek and destroy

Joe 01-15-2005 10:37 PM
so you liked robs solo gocaps
yes! it was really quite something (im not a bassist, but it was still skillful) i thought it was cool when he slapped with both hands on the fretboard

metal_milita 01-15-2005 10:37 PM
yeah they went down in the stage then came back after most the crowd left and played seek and destroy
I just learned seek and destroy, its actually a really cool song. Can't play solo yet, but Im not as interested in playing solo's anymore though, i think they're over-rated now. But ya the beginning riff for that song is addictive as hell.

JACKROXYOU 01-15-2005 10:38 PM

yea i cant stop playing disposable heroes and santarium

everyday over and over and over and over

Joe 01-15-2005 10:43 PM
yea i cant stop play disposable heroes
its not that easy...
i play S&D intro constantly (well, whenever i stop playing Fade to Black intro...) but i try to learn new metallia songs. now im workin on ...AJFA

JACKROXYOU 01-15-2005 10:47 PM

i tried ajfa but i just decided to learn all of one and blackened

RiceMonster 01-15-2005 10:48 PM

One isn't to hard to learn. its a fun song to play though.

/1000th post :D

Joe 01-15-2005 10:50 PM

good job EVH!

i can't get the quick picking on one yet, the solo is fairly easy actually

metal_milita 01-15-2005 10:50 PM
its not that easy...

AJFA album or song??
I find only 3 songs are really worth taking the time to learn that album
Dyers Eve
Blackened
...And Justice for All (even though I haven't started yet)
btw, for those who will point out one, that song is fairly easy to play and not that great anymore (I learned the entire thing + solo by my 3rd month of picking up a guitar. I didn't even get lesson, not that I ever will)

JACKROXYOU 01-15-2005 10:51 PM

congrats man

yeah one is easy but playin all of it can be exhausting

Joe 01-15-2005 10:52 PM

ok guys, its almost midnight here. 'nite ppls

JACKROXYOU 01-15-2005 10:54 PM

fine man good night

RiceMonster 01-16-2005 12:41 AM
They played Dyer's Eve? Oh man, sheer proof that they still have it. \m/
Ya it was amazing, i don't think they could've ended the show any better.

Huber 01-16-2005 01:17 AM

They could hardly play it live in there prime, and to play it now is a huge feat.

Freezing Moon 01-16-2005 01:23 AM

The setlist at the show I saw was...

Blackened
Fuel
Ride The Lightning
Kirk Solo 1
Sanatarium
King Nothing
Frantic
Harvester of Sorrow
St. Anger
Sad But True
Creeping Death (where they fucked up)

Kirk Solo 2
Nothing Else Matters
Master of Puppets

Enter Sandman
The Way (cover..)
Whiplash

No Dyers Eve for me, but I wish there was... That would be awesome to see live.
