I think some people have lapses, small periods of time where they cease to think rationally. Like people who pierce their tongues. They must know that the chance of infection is fairly high, and I'm sure they know that people have died because of them. But at some point, they must have a lapse of judgement; the "just do it" attitude takes over.

Either that, or they bend very easily to peer pressure.

Or it's boredom. I shave when I'm bored you, mind you it's my face not my head.

I never quite understood that compulsion. A friend of mine thinks I'm an [size=2]a[/size]sshole for being a little critical of that behavior, though I don't think he quite understands that I still understand the difference between tolerance and acceptance. I tolerate it when people do that, meaning I don't like a lot of the practices, but it's their lives so they can go ahead and do it.

Friday, some kid was wearing reflective aviator sunglasses in school. I turned a corner and my handsome reflection (:)) in his shades startled me. I think he was pleased however.

I got a poor haircut on Sunday, and I asked my dad that instead of keeping it, if I could shave the rest off. My mom didn't want that because she said some people who have "1's" look like cancer patients.
