A lot of Allmans stuff is good to listen to while driving also.

rush_2112_mr.slow hands 10-22-2004 09:52 PM

but rush is one of the most tallented bands out there, hands downu take away the other two members and they can still play music. each and every one of them can play their instuments almost better than anyone

Creedence Clearwater 10-22-2004 09:53 PM

RockAndRoll 10-22-2004 09:55 PM

I don't like rush all that much but peart is a very solid player technically.

Creedence Clearwater 10-22-2004 09:55 PM
Whoever the hell drumms for Jeff Beck is better than Peart. But I mean, Rush is just so awesome it doesn't matter :)
That reminds me, is Jeck Beck on the site, I looked quickly but.....
A lot of Allmans stuff is good to listen to while driving also.
Yea and once you put in Mountain Jam you don't have to worry about another song for 33 minutes.
I don't like rush all that much but peart is a very solid player technically.
Oh yea I mean he's great. I just prefer Bonham and other older drummers I guess.

jpj 10-22-2004 09:58 PM

I love that song more than I love canolis, and that's a lot of love.
Oh yea I mean he's great. I just prefer Bonham and other older drummers I guess.
Bonham, Moon Mitchell and Baker do it good for me:smoke:

jpj 10-22-2004 10:00 PM

I still can't get past the drum solo on the Zep DVD. It's so unbelievable.
I love that song more than I love canolis, and that's a lot of love.
If your talking about Mountain Jam then yes. It is the most interesting half an hour song without lyrics, which says something about Duane Allman's sheer awesomeness.

(Ok so it's one of the few half an hour long songs, but still.)

lunch998 10-22-2004 10:02 PM
Bonham, Moon Mitchell and Baker do it good for me:smoke:
Thats my top 4. :smoke:

I had to join you for a smoke.

jpj 10-22-2004 10:02 PM
I still can't get past the drum solo on the Zep DVD. It's so unbelievable.
Yea it's so great. Everytime I watch it I get inspired to play drums. Then I realize I can't do what he does. :upset:
Yes, I was talking about Mountain Jam. It's got a cool bass solo too.
And a cool drum solo. Actually that song has it all.

jpj 10-22-2004 10:04 PM

Same thing with me every time I listen to Stu Hamm or even The Lemon Song. God I love this Vh1 radio thing, the Jam Band station is great.

I can do some parts, but I can't do what he does with the hands. And my heel-toe is nowhere near as fast as his.
I can do some parts, but I can't do what he does with the hands. And my heel-toe is nowhere near as fast as his.
I've never actually tried doing what he does there.

jpj 10-22-2004 10:11 PM

RockAndRoll 10-22-2004 10:13 PM
It's quite difficult.
