War of the Worlds terrified me.

And I cried. I can never handle little kids getting hurt or something...

I liked it, it was stressful. But then again, I'm kind of a pansy....
Im like that with kids, i nearly cry at starwarsIII when i see it :upset:
Went to see them and Bullet For My Valentine the other day was pretty immense, quite a few people were saying Bullet were better I thought FFAF were personally. Sucks for your friend.
Bah, I can't stand BFMV personally. I'll be standing around doing nothing for them. They are overated and generic screamo turd in my opinion, and they are only popular since Kerrang has their cock stuck firmly up their ass

Angry Balled Fists! 07-01-2005 11:50 AM

I'm not alowed to go to see Alkaline Trio in London by myself,

My mum says, either to go with my Dad or not go ...

I'm not goong..

Bad Blood 07-01-2005 11:51 AM

Would you really go on your own though, Dan?

Understanding In a Crash 07-01-2005 11:51 AM

Go with your Dad dude. Can't you take a friend with you? The first few gigs I went to was with my dad and like 2 friends, and I don't regret it at all

I thought they were ok but too many people at that gig liked them cause they thought they were "heavy"

Yeah I liked it too, but I'd rather not freak out for the rest of the summer every time I hear loud bass.

Dead Star 07-01-2005 11:53 AM

So its 6 days until i go to the lovely city of London. W00t......

I'm gonna be so bored.

123. Still, I'm not too keen on travelling ages up to Manchester either

I have the EP, and it's nothing to be honest. They are trying too hard to fit in with the scene. I hate when the limelight is focused on British bands trying to fit into an American-dominated scene. They are like every other processed band in America.

Angry Balled Fists! 07-01-2005 11:55 AM

They should play in Lincoln, amirite ?

Manny is right on my doorstep, so im quite lucky, most bands come to manchester because we have an awesome scene.

And because it's one of the biggest bands in England?

A lot of bands come to Nottingham which I like, and it's only like a half-hour train ride away I think. Plus at Rock City you can like talk to the band afterwards, it's awesome

But Manchester Academy was a decent place I suppose

I can't go with him.

First bit dont make sence?

2nd bit, same as the academy.

£rd bit. MA1 is awesome, i lovce that place. MA2 is ok, but i dont like how its upstairs, it dos'nt feel right to me. I dont like how the floor shakes me the pits at fully power. MA3, ive never been in.

Dead Star 07-01-2005 12:00 PM

I go to gigs with my sister...

Why not? If you take 1 or 2 friends with you as well, you will have a great time. I always did. He would take us there, then we would head to the front and he would stand in like the middle and watch.

You could always ask if he could take you there and wait somewhere else until the gig is over. Then you could ring him, tell him it's finished and then get him to pick you up

When my dad used to take me to concerts, he never STAYED with me. Me and whoever I brought (or sometimes I was just by myself, depending on what concert it was.) just went off on our own, and he never minded staying at the back, out of all the hullabaloo.

You don't nessecarily have to be WITH YOUR DAD the whole time. It's not that big of a deal, either way.

Understanding In a Crash 07-01-2005 12:01 PM

I've went to gigs with my Dad when I was like 12 Dan... :thumb:

The second guitarist and backup vocals is so a really cute guy from Recover.

I'd rather go with my dad than go on my own to be honest. That way, I know I have a safe ride home, and if I am in trouble then I can talk to him.

Of course I don't go with my dad now

I've already explained why i can't go with any friends.

My family are off on holiday in London on the 17th, Alk3 are playing on the 18th.

My friends live in Lincs, so they would have to meet up with me in London, which won't happen

Angry Balled Fists! 07-01-2005 12:07 PM

It says it's sold out on Gigsandtours.com anyway...
