well i got some time to waste, might as well spend it in here. just heating my supper up, then it's out partying for my friend's birthday.

a store in town got a whole pile of big cigars, i'll have to go in and buy one tonight.

i don't think i'll be on here for the rest of the weekend, so bye bye everyone.

Futuro 11-25-2005 07:00 PM
I thought he was a girl at first
Yeah, lol. They remind me of Rush with the high vocals Songs based off fictional stories, Near same guitar tone etc. Im kinda 50/50 with the album, One hand it has some neat prog parts. Than in the other, It has a few repetative parts (Mainly during the few middle tracks, still good songs. But more work on the compositional part would have helped immensly. I really liked the last few songs on the album, They are all about 7:30 long, Really neat sounding. They go through a few different genres while keeping there Alt sound. The sound is kinda like Mars volta, But with less expirementing, and more music. I think this album may need to grow on me little by little.

puppet.master 11-25-2005 07:15 PM

ya a solo comp would kick *** right about now

my drums are fully reassembled they actually sound better

and i got the tuning i liked alot faster pics this sunday hopefully

Undisco Kidd 11-25-2005 07:17 PM

I'd love to see Terry Bozzio play on a 4 piece with just a ride and hats.

puppet.master 11-25-2005 07:18 PM

thats would be interesting

i would love to play one of bozzios kits more though

Undisco Kidd 11-25-2005 07:20 PM

Hah. I couldn't handle all of that. I picked up a 12" Wuhan today, and I'm experimenting with ways to work it in (first effect cymbal). 95% of the time, I'm playing a jazz beat. I really doubt I could even find a way to play his hundreds of drums and such.

puppet.master 11-25-2005 07:23 PM

huh
all i read was wuhan

mmmmm wuhan :drools:

Undisco Kidd 11-25-2005 07:26 PM

it's the best 10 dollar china ever.

i will love it and cherish it forever.

also, would it be possible to make some sort of hihats using chinas?

two 14 inch wuhans + hihat stand = wuhats?

Janeway 11-25-2005 07:28 PM

Wuhan always reminds me of chinese food.

Undisco Kidd 11-25-2005 07:29 PM

Tso Chicken = <3

Janeway 11-25-2005 07:30 PM

Mmmmm...
Good taste in chinese food.
Have some rep.

Undisco Kidd 11-25-2005 07:32 PM

I like the way you think.

puppet.master 11-25-2005 07:35 PM

haha

i love chinese food

thai is better imo

Futuro 11-25-2005 07:36 PM
I really doubt I could even find a way to play his hundreds of drums and such.
He has them tuned to notes, or to reproduce notes. Giving him the abilty to create and play melodies. So if you can play Piano you can play his set.

puppet.master 11-25-2005 07:37 PM

more work than playing the piano though
\
ugh my thumb has a blister on it now

hurts soo much to type

Undisco Kidd 11-25-2005 07:39 PM

It's all the same, with the exception of Indian, considering curry smells like ***.

Futuro 11-25-2005 07:40 PM
more work than playing the piano though
Erh, I wouldnt say more, But instead of chordal structures he uses arpeggios. His playing never really intrested me that much, but it is neat....Now Chad Wackerman....

Undisco Kidd 11-25-2005 07:42 PM

I've heard plenty of bozzio stuff. It's neat and all, but I could never see just listening to one of his CD's.

Futuro 11-25-2005 07:43 PM

i love curry man its soooo good

thai food has alot of curry in it

Undisco Kidd 11-25-2005 07:47 PM

Curry is nice, but it reeks. I'd take good old fasion hot sauce any day.

puppet.master 11-25-2005 08:03 PM

i dont mind the smell of it

Janeway 11-25-2005 08:04 PM

I don't mind the smell of my farts when they smell like tacos...

Double Bass Jim 11-25-2005 08:08 PM

Anyone buying The Xbox 360? Im thinking of buying one, but might wait to see if everything that has been hyped, lives up.

Janeway 11-25-2005 08:19 PM

I'm just going to wait until all of the systems are out and see which one is the best.

Undisco Kidd 11-25-2005 08:27 PM

xbox 360 will fail. they rushed it to get it out by holiday season.

the new sony one will probably be better, considering the fact they're not releasing it for another year.

nintendo 6 or whatever looks nice too. with the remote-controller thing.

but, i'm going to stick with my DS. Mariokart = Best.

styler 11-25-2005 08:28 PM

^^^ im waiting for the xbox 900. small enough to fit in your pocket, and it has a screen ON the system so you dont have to have a tv to use it, and its got one controller that 8 people can play on,with a 15 foot chord so you can all travel the house while you play. its got great graphics, so awesome..i cant wait to NEVER buy one....the world will sink to a new low if someone actually makes something like that :(

Janeway 11-25-2005 08:28 PM

That'd be weird if the xbox ended up like the dreamcast...
Which I still play.

puppet.master 11-25-2005 08:34 PM

i would rather buy drum stuff and wait for the price on this generation of systems to go down

Undisco Kidd 11-25-2005 08:35 PM

i'm reluctant to spend 60 dollars (thats what the 360 games cost) for a 5 inch plastic disk that makes no sound.

Janeway 11-25-2005 08:35 PM

Hmm...
Should I spend my christmas money on turning my basement into a music room?

Futuro 11-25-2005 08:38 PM
i'm reluctant to spend 60 dollars (thats what the 360 games cost) for a 5 inch plastic disk that makes no sound.
I used to pay 60 bucks for N64 games back in the day, aint too much for entertainment.
