Next up: HORSE the Band, Bear vs. Shark and Curl up and Die on the 16th.
You will have much fun, methinks. Curl Up and Die aren't anything special, I haven't seen Bear vs. Shark, but HORSE rocks so much booty live.

I went to a lovely show at the coffeehouse tonight to see my friend Nick and this girl play. The first show was really good, and then for the second show they brought in another singer who sounded too opera and musical-y and bad.

Coffeehouses and actual vocal talent do not mix.

Wohoo! I just got Jeff Buckley - Grace and Eric Dolphy - Out to Lunch. I feel so warm and fuzzy inside.

Zappa 07-30-2005 11:11 PM

It's a good thing Out To Lunch is like absolutely stellar. Also, I like how it's both Dolphy's most notorious and his actual best. In the jazz world, those two don't always seem to match.

Daniel! 07-30-2005 11:17 PM

Ya, I've been interested it in a while. I just clicked the play button 30 seconds ago and I'm liking it already.

Daniel! 07-31-2005 12:06 AM

I just finished Listen to Out to Lunch and I think this deserves a few more listens tonight. First impression is that it's quite interesting...

Zappa 07-31-2005 12:07 AM

It's an alien sort of record. It makes sense to few, I think, and I don't count myself among them.

leiferikson 07-31-2005 09:04 AM

Ever get it when you really feel like listening to some music but there is absolutely nothing in your collection that feels right for the mood that you're in at the moment thus tiding you over with a sense of inadaquecy?

If CUAD plays "Hardcore Since I Was 10" I'll be happy. I'm afraid of HORSE the members.
That's his 2nd time on the front page, I think.
Yeah. My review of Gentlemen got put on the front page a few months back.

Well, last night I went out for mine & my mate's birthday party, got so ludicrously smashed that I threw up outside a nightclub, got poured into a taxi by my girlfriend, threw up all over that too, and had to wash it myself to avoid a fine. I'm just glad that's the last of my mate's birthdays I have to face before I have the 'I'm a student with no money' excuse. I'm too easily persuaded and I get carried away.

We can agree that I have the best desktop ever, yes?

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y12/dfarr3/desktop.jpg

Iai 07-31-2005 10:08 AM

My desktop is from the recent SA DeviantArt special. The 'I can't stop thinking about ****' one.

Electrocution 07-31-2005 10:18 AM

If that picture was bigger, you'd be able to see my folder entitled "Miscellaneous Pigeon Droppings."

Yeah. Sometimes I never listen to one song all the way through because it instantly bores me.

Iai 07-31-2005 10:42 AM

I was like that yesterday before I went out. My Audioscrobbler looked schizoid.

Electrocution 07-31-2005 12:39 PM

Does anyone know how to make it so that other people can view your photobucket album?

Zappa 07-31-2005 01:51 PM

Yes.

The NPC 07-31-2005 02:32 PM

Oh you kids and your photobuckets.

Interstate 07-31-2005 02:57 PM

Every time I turn the Audioscrobbler plug in on in WMP it seems to freeze it/make the loading process/opening file process incredibly slow. :upset:

leiferikson 07-31-2005 02:58 PM

What the **** is audioscrobbler? Has Shannyn Sossamon had another baby?

Interstate 07-31-2005 03:14 PM

Would be awesome if my pc wouldn't be so stubborn

Glitterati 07-31-2005 03:24 PM

Bought some CDs today.

Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros - Streetcore
Talking Heads - Speaking In Tongues

It was well worth downloading.

You mean you don't know?

leiferikson 07-31-2005 03:48 PM

Haha. Thats nearly as funny as my Shannyn Sossamon joke which either nobody got or nobody found funny. Her first baby being called Audio Science.
