Man, some of this (+44) can't help me feel like Mark's missing the old Tom. I know Brandon's going to come into this thread and say I'm full of ****, but it's the truth if you ask me. I mean the lyrics are obviously both girl related and Tom related, but even the way Mark sings. He's singing much higher, up into Tom's usual area, and I even forgot that Tom wasn't in the band on the song Chapter XIII. It sounds. so much like Tom at some points (Mainly the chorus). This album also reminds me alot of Blink's S/T stuff.

I don't like Scott as a Pipe Major. He's a cool guy, but I can't stand his choice in tunes. Our medley this year isn't half of what it was last year. We've got an awesome Hornpipe to start with, and a sweet [I]a[/I]ss Slow Air, but after that it's all complete crap.

I think that, whenever I finish school here, I may join up if things aren't going insane awesome at COP.

I really like the plus 44 album. IMO marks singing seems a bit high but still sounds good :) . Chapter XIII would be my fav so far.

Ill buy it, but never actully listen to the cd, just listen to the download.

I do that with CDs all the time these days.

Most probably the name (+44). Maybe last.fm has a problem listening the + symbol?

I don't think so, the last.fm page for +44 is called "+44", so I'm guessing it might be the brackets, although I can't be certain cuz I've never known it have problems with brackets before. I'll keep trying and if anything comes up I'll post back here.

Turns out it was the brackets. Once I remove them from the band name it registers on last.fm no problem.

Oh well, I'll just have to listen to it another 5 times to make up for the 5 that haven't been scrobbled ;)

145 and the acoustic version of Baby, Come On are both great as well as the rest of the album. Hearing Mark's voice singing again makes me feel great, reminds me of being younger.

Gotta love the 44.

on about 3rd listen or so, i'd give it 7.5/10

whereas on 3rd listen of AVA i'd give 7/10

so +44 are better so far

AVA is 8/10 now

Yeah Im impressed with the album. Baby Come On, Lillian and Chapter XIII are the best songs I reckon. I dont like comparing AvA to (+44) because they are 2 totally different types of band. I love AvA at night more than any other band almost, but ill never listen to them (other than The War) during the day.

But yeah, cant wait to see (+44) live....
