Vehemence slayed, you guys. Better than ever. They even played a couple new songs...but I think some of the Abigail Williams influence is creeping over into Vehemence lol. It was killer though, even though all the other bands sucked *** (except Defied; they were ok) and the place was ****ing packed.

no. death metal refers to super-hardcore such as unearth, lamb of god, chimaira, etc. Youll notice dimmu cradle etc all have the same general sound, but its far different from unearth, etc. They are black metal

Also, chimaira's forst album was more of just general metalcore; the second album was thicker, deeper tone, and more mature in sound, which is more characteristic of death metal.
