I found out that i cannot play the retail version of Smash Bros. Brawl with my modchip installed so i proceeded to install an external switch to turn it on and off when needed. My brother did all the soldering and tried to install it using a different method that would allow the installation of a switch as well. Everything seemed okay until i put a disc into the drive. On the disc channel it says "Please insert a disc" but a disc is definitely in there already.

So basically my disc drive is messed up. Luckily that is the easiest part of the whole console to replace because it's right on top and you connect two cables and you're done but it would cost upwards of $100 to replace.

Ugh.

Yeah, then the question should be asked, is it really worth it to play Brawl three weeks ahead of US release?

I would never mod any of my consoles. They're designed not to be moddable, which has its drawbacks and its advantages.

With schoolwork every day, track everyday, and then on days when i don't have schoolwork or track, i hang out with my girlfriend, and now all my friends are pissed at me because i am spending all my time with her and barely hang with them anymore..

I sometimes feel like i don't have any room to breathe anymore.
