Wanker 05-02-2005 08:24 PM

I just finished Slaughterhouse-5 today at work. I read Slapstick too.

Vonnegut's the shiz.

YDload 05-02-2005 08:34 PM

I've read Slaugherhouse and Breakfast of Champions. Vonnegut's a great author, and you can read his books in one sitting too.

biografiend 05-02-2005 08:35 PM

I havent read any Vonnegut yet. I've been meaning too, though. Right now I'm reading Walden the annotated version. Thoreau is a genius.

Wanker 05-02-2005 08:38 PM

Everyone I know who's read Walden wants to live out in the woods now

My friend's hiking the Appalachian Trail because of it.

Zappa 05-02-2005 08:41 PM

Slaughterhouse Five was great, too.

Read Cat's Cradle.

Wanker 05-02-2005 08:42 PM

That's the next one I plan on reading. All I need to do is find a copy now.

I just finished Life Of Pi by Yann Martel yesterday also. That's a damn good book.

I finished my The Books review yay.

Zappa- No more black men avatars?

Zappa 05-02-2005 09:38 PM

I do indeed feature a white dude this time. I'm just digging The Monks a lot, and it's a rare occurence lately that I get that into a band comprised of white members.

AndreTheHyena 05-02-2005 11:09 PM

I hate Vonnegut.

Zmev 05-02-2005 11:17 PM

I hate working out.
I do indeed feature a white dude this time. I'm just digging The Monks a lot, and it's a rare occurence lately that I get that into a band comprised of white members.
well that's understandable. white people haven't been good at music since the early 1900s.

AndreTheHyena 05-02-2005 11:23 PM

I like it. But I don't do it out of vanity, or in pursuit of masturbatory self-improvement. I see it as a form of meditation.

And I don't pump iron and all the stupid nonsense, I just ride my bike for a long time and then do lots of pushups or something.

@ Zmev

Zmev 05-03-2005 12:27 AM

Eh, today was my first day in a loooong time so bit of a shock, less sore now though.

Happymeal 05-03-2005 05:20 AM

I'm playing tonight!!w#!@!@!!

morrissey 05-03-2005 05:21 AM

Way to be playing on the same night as Ryan Adams.

But I should come to a show sometime, seeing as you're from the same city and all.

Happymeal 05-03-2005 05:28 AM

I didn't know he had a show tonight.

Kinda nervous and excited at the same time since this is my first time playing by myself for an hour(at school).

gaslight 05-03-2005 05:38 AM

/Just ordered two Mogwai shirts, a Million Dead shirt, Mogwai's EP+2, a Rock Action Label Sampler, and an Envy album.

*Content.*

br3ad_man 05-03-2005 05:43 AM

How much did that set you back?

Happymeal, hope it goes well for you buddy. You'll be fine.

Happymeal 05-03-2005 05:46 AM

So I finally got my post-punk arrangement of Black Velvet (by Allanah Myles) recorded off onto minidisc.

I hope my teacher puts it on CD, I really want to upload it. It came off way better than I thought it would.

I have a friend who has read that for every book report in the past two years.

Reaganista 05-03-2005 04:05 PM

Breakfast of Champions was great.

I read it in two sittings spread out over about 10 months, though.

biografiend 05-03-2005 04:18 PM

On the Road by Jack Kerouac is taking me forever to read.

Iai2 05-03-2005 04:29 PM

I can't read.

Zappa 05-03-2005 04:30 PM

Reading sucks.

pixiesfanyo 05-03-2005 04:58 PM
On the Road by Jack Kerouac is taking me forever to read.
So good.

I like Maggie Cassidy the most though.

ATM 05-03-2005 05:24 PM

I'm reading a book on Robert Crumb and Hichikers Guide to the Galaxy.
