On topic of festivals, me and two friends are planning on going to Download, Reading, Glastobury and Bloodstock in 2005.
Its going to be an expensive year for me. |
Going to Download, leads and glastonbury in one year id love, i not hered of that other place though.
Bloodstock is the Uk metal-festival.
This years headliners were Gamma-Ray and Children of Bodom. It mainly focuses on more Black/Power/Death/Obscure metal bands that the ones in the Mainstream like Download and Reading festivals. Next year it should be at an outdoor venue, possibly Donington which will kick arse. On a side note, I went to the Ozzfest at Donnington in 2002  |
Download is at donnington right? that other one isnt my thing though.
Cool. There should be more north west based events, theres only realy Move, and you could say leads, but thats yorkshire.
I wish I was alive for the Monsters of Rock festivals that happened at Donington back in the 80's, they own Download so much.
I'm gonna go to leeds this year, I'm going back to york for the summer and leeds is 45mins drive away, 30 mins on a train, and I have a free train pass, so I can get there and back for free
I wanna go, i might arange to with people.
Reading has sold out already
wow, thats quite amazing
I didnt go to leeds this year coz it was sh*t bill The rasmus, Lostprophets, The streets, 50 CENT?!?!?! It was a pretty bad bill I know some people who went JUST to see green day, apparently it was the best show of their career |

The pre-release tickets may have sold out already, the rest of the weekend tickets don't go on sale until February/March/April time  And 1person died during G'n'R's set at Donington 1988, there were a few more festivals up until 1992/1993, then they just died out. I think Monsters of Rock ran from 1982 - 1992. They tried to re-vive it with an Alice Cooper tour in 2002, and a Whitesnake tour in 2003, but they kinda failed. I saw Alice Cooper on the tour, he rocked  |

Then when the circle pits opened up, I went in one and had a great time, it was my first circle pit and I enjoyed it. Even though I bounced off some dude onto my arse, and got picked up within 2 seconds  |
The mosh pits at donnington were unreal,
The Pits at download were unreal, I ventured into slipknots pitmduring The heretic anthem and Iwas one of the lucky ones who managed to escape with only a few bruises, My mate got his arm broken by some one dive bombing him, it was fu*king insane
I was in Rage Against the Machine's pit at Reading 2000.
I was 12. My first pit. I was shit scared. I managed to work my way backwards, but it sucked loads at the time. Goldfinger always get good pits, I've seen them twice and had a great time in the pit on each occasion. And that sucks for you friend, the worst injury I've gotten from a pit is being kicked in the face by a crowdsurfing bass player from a band. Oh yeh, I got punched really hard in the side of my head when someone thrust their arm in the air. |
*Has never been in a pit
*Has never been in a pit
Me either, i got 3 lined up from december though. I just went into bury, and i was in the guitar shop, i started talking to one of the guys that work there and they can order me in my fender P i want, for 400, were as in manchester its 450. Bury is easier for me too, its a 10-15 minute bus ride(mansa bout 45min, depending on traffic), and the shop it right next to the bus depo, which i use everyday for college, so im gonna get my p from there. |
*has only been to three concerts
*has been too 2. Seen 6 bands live though.
hey all
I'm pissed off  I was meant to be going to this gig tonight that I've had planned for a while, James and TUKSS are going too *not all together* anywho...I made sure my mate wanted to go before I got the tickets cos they dont really like ska but I made sure she was up for it and she was. So like 2 weeks ago she says she cant come she has to babysit (this is like the 3rd gig I've missed cos of her- I hadnt bought tickets for the others yet though) anyway so I thought ok fine, I'll find someone else- NO-ONE ELSE CAN BLOODY GO and I cant sell the tickets or anything and I aint going alone and I'm pissed off :upset: |
