the ghost of tom joad is amazing and who was renegades of funk by originally?
|
What exactly happened at the MTV awards anyway? Its been awhile.
|
RATM lost the "best metal performance" award to Limp Bizkit and Zach climbed on this thing and started swinging on it like a madman.
|
What exactly happened at the MTV awards anyway? Its been awhile.
This is what I heard (I didn't watch it). RAGE was up for an award, and didn't win (best rock video? Sleep now in the fire I think). Limp Bizkit (of all the bands...) ended up winning for some dumba$$ video/song. Sooo... In 'protest?' of the decision Timmy climbed some of the scaffolding and started rockin back and forth and it got way out of hand and possibly dangerous. Some people say that Zach got fed up with it, and that this is one of the breaking points of the band. |
I thought it was Zach....

I saw that happen on MTV, I wasn't sure who did it at the time. That was the highlight of the show. Award shows/MTV suck.

I don't really understand why he would get pissed at that. If I would lose to Limp Bizkit I would also do something like that to. |
If Zack ever releases his solo album that would be interesting. It reckons to be unlikely though. He seems to be playing with an Mexican music band at the moment.

I've downloaded some of his solo stuff. One thing was called 'Land of Liberty' which was more of a poem. His other stuff is ok. I don't get how people can think that Audioslave is better than Rage. And believe me, there are those people. My mom heard a new Audioslave single yesterday and agreed that it sounds like every other band played on the radio. No one sounded/sounds/will sound like Rage. The anger and rapping, the hardcore basslines, Tom's insane technicalities, and Brad's well, Brad was the drummer. |
...and Brad's well, Brad was the drummer.
Oh man! I could have sworn he was the keyboard player. Well Brad had great timing live so I guess they all had something. |
Bassline: Clam Like a Bomb
Guitar Riff: Bombtrack Vocals: Bullet in the Head Drums: Vietnow Songs: 3. Wake Up 2. Killing in the Name 1. Guriella Radio Covers: 2. Microphone Feind 1. In My Eyes Guitar Solo: Know Your Enemy Best Lyrics: Just victims of the in house drive by. You say jump the say how high. Best Album: Self Titled just off the top of my head. |
Oh man! I could have sworn he was the keyboard player.
Well Brad had great timing live so I guess they all had something.
plus he had some good beats, and his style gave it a more rap/funk feel. |

I think it was because he thought people might view it as some kind of publicity stunt. |
This page makes me realise how little anybody cares about drums.
|
Bassline: killing in the name
Guitar Riff:Testify Vocals: people of the sun Drums: darkness Songs: 3. Bulls on Parade 2. Testify 1. killing in the name Guitar Solo: testify Best Lyrics: the riot be the rhyme of the unheard Best Album: evil empire |
I've downloaded some of his solo stuff. One thing was called 'Land of Liberty' which was more of a poem. His other stuff is ok.
That poem was in one of the Rage DVDs... |
I think brad is really good at drums. I doubt Rage would sound as good with a regular rock drummer.
|
Oh man! I could have sworn he was the keyboard player.
Well Brad had great timing live so I guess they all had something.
I said that to mean that he does nothing special, but does everything just fine. So he is what he is. |

Sorry coming off the way it did. I know NOTHING about drums/drumming, so that is why I am ignorant to the topic. Sorry. |

He definatly made EE what it is. I really love the hip-hop style of that album.
Sorry coming off the way it did. Maybe. :D |
Yeah EE was good for drums. His best is on the new Audioslave though.
|
Brad Wilk is very underrated in my opinion.

+1 man. He's one of my favorite drummers. My favorite album is hard to pick. I like them all, but Renegades is not awesome, but it's still good. Timmy C, bring that bass in. How many people have the CD Live & Rare? I've got it and it's awesome. |
Two years ago I would have killed for Live & Rare. I don't know whether I would spend that much on it now. If the price was right, then I would certainly buy it.
|
^^^
I agree. I think I would like to complete the RATM catalouge, including the singles one day, because they're my favorite band but I've got all the big ones so I'm fine with that. |
Doesn't live and rare have a bonus disc with Darkness on it? If so than I have almost bought it just for that track which is one of my favorite RATM tracks ever.
|
Yes, Darkness is part of Live & Rare. I love the solo on that song.
|
Live & Rare rules, 'specially Clear The Lane.
|
So, what happened with the cover songs?
