Get over it, i like ac/dc but you're getting annoying.
heh whatever noob |
well ill tell u what mate u read every single page here and u will see something similair has been said on every single page at least once
yeah you're right I guess, and you are one of the better posters in this thread so i shouldn't have taken anything out on you |
i don't understand how people can not like them. they're bloody awesome
Well. I like them, but then again I dislike them. I dislike them because they sound reptitive. But I like them because they just have some badass songs. Like Thunderstuck, Back In Black, Money Talks (or soething like that) ect. I don't know that much about them, but they are pretty decent. I really like their live DVD.
whats wrong with simple songs guys? does everything always have to be mega-complicated?
Nothing HAS to be that way with me. I just really like the more complicated stuff. But every once in awhile I like the simpler stuff. |
strait from thir mouth in an interveiw. and it was the apollo theater
Which interview? |
Ive been listening to a lot of Johnson era lately. Has anyone noticed that the solos got simpler and shorter when Brian joined?
|

yeah that started pretty much after the highway to hell album, i think it was because angus wasn't improvising over the tracks as much |
Which interview?
one they did with vh1 on family jewels. you can find it on vh1's website |

For the worse, I'd say. AB/DC, maybe you should take a break from this thread? Favourite AC/DC tune at the moment; Shake a leg. |
For the worse, I'd say.
AB/DC, maybe you should take a break from this thread? Favourite AC/DC tune at the moment; Shake a leg.
that said, i reckon shake a leg has a great solo |
shouldnt take a break just all thats ever posted form people is AC/DC are overrated then some1 says they arent then i say shut up and yeah i shoudl actually very repetitive.
the solos in brians era got shorter cos they band werent getting enough time to make the albums Angus said in an interview before "just as we had gotten to like the 5th song some1 would come in and say we have a world tour in 2 months" |
The songs also seemed to get simpler when Brian joined. Oh well, they still kicked ass :thumb:
|
I noticed on Donington that the Whole Lotta Rosie solo was slower too.
Oh btw I finally got Powerage today. Best album ever. |
Also I cant get the chorus to Rock 'n' Roll ****ation outta my head.
haha yeah man, thats such a rockin' song |
riff raff is amazing on the let there be rock video best opener weell far as i remember they opened with it havnt looks at that video in ****ing ages dont wanna damage it
|
Stiff Upper Lip Live is one of the coolest things the 'DC have ever put out. The solo for Let There Be Rock is amazing.
|
I have only heard the title track to STUL which iis really good imo. Let there be rock is basically one big glorified solo. Which isnt a bad thing at all. Bloody awesome.
|
well stiff upper lip live is good in terms of sound quality and some of the songs but let there be rock live in paris 1979 i think it was now that concert is far better the whole band has more energy Bon is singing even tho he was pished Angus just didnt stop running Malcolm Cliff and Phil were all playing solid whole way through it and they proved that they do not need a big inflatable rosie or a bell or cannons to show they were a great act they showed that if u give tham a stage and an audience they iwll put on the best show they can and that they did do on that night
(dont complain that i didnt use punctuation in that i never will so get used to that) |
Where did you find the Let There Be Rock video? Is it still sold?
|
Where did you find the Let There Be Rock video? Is it still sold?
its on the family jules dvd |
not the video for let there be rock the actual live video let there be rock.
i dont think its sold anymor just so happens my dad got it when it was released and gave it to me :D |
Ok. My friends dad used to have it but they lost it.
|
ive got stiff upper lip live but in my opinion no bull is way better, they go to more trouble with effects ( wrecking balls, rising platforms etc.) and they just put on a better show.
|
one they did with vh1 on family jewels. you can find it on vh1's website
Coolio! Cheers. |

Care to post a link. Checked that site and didn't find anything to back you up. Not doubting you, that much, but a link would clarify. |

Do people regurlarly go to that site? I prefer the fan sites myself.
|
That is their official site, so I would assume that it is widely used.
|

I don't own SUL but the show on No Bull I didn't really like, the sound quality was not that good, you could barely hear Brian over the guitar, bass and drums. If your looking for the best AC/DC DVD then I would go with Live at Donnington, that is a ****in amazing DVD. That and I didn't really like the SUL setlist. |
Ya Angus has the most talent in the band by far.
Their stuff is very catchy, especially the riff to thunderstruck its sweet. But theyre definitely not my favorite band. I cant listen to them for long periods of time like i can Hendrix or Zeppelin. |
Yeah thunderstruck is a great song.
|
Just read that they will be recording the new album in the UK and have a tentative release date of late '05 to early '06. Not sure if this is new news or not. I'm quite pumped for it though, as I'm sure everyone else in here is. Sounds like they're really putting a lot of work into it and trying to improve with this record.
