They sound a bit like Death Cab with female vocals. Artificial Light is a pretty good song:)
yeah. Sickbed is my favorite, though. |
I'm not really getting into a lot at the moment.
No new bands have really wowed me recently, but I've been finding some really great bands from the past 20 or so years. |
I think Captain America should have been "The Great American Hero," but wasn't it G.I. Joe?
|
The other night, I went on a downloading spree and ripped hundreds of songs from the computers of my fellow classmates.
I got: Belle and Sebatian, Jurassic 5, Elliott Smith, Grateful Dead, Sparta, Coheed and Cambria, AtDI and some more.
Probably the best rap group out there. |
I think Captain America should have been "The Great American Hero," but wasn't it G.I. Joe?
No, Cap's in the clear man. G.I. Joe was a Real American Hero. |
i've always liked the violent femmes... but, now I'm really getting into them right now... them and a lot of lou reed...
|
Probably the best rap group out there.
I agree... the roots are also really good too... |
No, Cap's in the clear man. G.I. Joe was a Real American Hero.
Ah, sorry. It was 20 after 6 in the morning. I was in a dazzzzze. |
Been listening to some metal, particularly Wormed and Unexpect, along with sentimental and horribly mushy stuff.
|
mum and freezepop have been dominating my computer lately.
|
Romances by Patton/Kaada has leaked, but I can't listen to it yet (pappy's watching the boob tube). ,_,
Good lord I'm in agony here, the samples from a while back were so dang classy. |
Romances by Patton/Kaada has leaked
Where can I get my hands on this? I'm not that psyched about it, but I still want to hear it. |
Today I've listened to these bands:
Radiohead Fantomas Nirvana Miles Davis Weezer I listened to "Delirium Cordia" today and I found it boring. It used to be my favourite Fantomas album but now I think it's my least favourite. I'd say the first album is my favourite now. |
The Directors Cut = Only really worthwhile Fant? album.
I've been listening to a lot of my old punk/pop-punk albums today. How much do I love No Use For A Name? This ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Much. |
Hey Tangy! One of my mates from church is into These Arms Are Snakes. It's a girl too!
|
Marry her.
Now. Then make indie-children with her. |
Nah man, all the other stuff she listens to is like Dashboard and stuff. Plus shes not my type ;)
|
I'm not going to download "Romances"...I much rather buy and and then hear it. From what I heard from the samples...it's gonna be amazing.
|
The Directors Cut = Only really worthwhile Fant? album.
Not so. The self-titled is excellent. Delirium Cordia, on the other hand, is quite lame. |
Marry her.
Now. Then make indie-children with her.
I've noticed this theme appears a lot in your posts, Tangy.... |
That's because Tangy longs for a woman.
|
Marry her.
Now. Then make indie-children with her.
aww... (i've found that after all these years, my love for interpol still hasn't faded. yet perhaps that might be because antics made me realize how good they still are.) |
I've been heavily digging TV on the Radio. I'm listening to a recording of one of their concerts right now... it's really good, especially considering that they're such a studio band (what with the layered voices and the electronic beats and stuff).
Edit: if anyone wants to listen to it, it's at http://www.justconcerts.com/concerts/concert.cfm?Act_Id=381&Concert_Id=314&Band_Id=13098&secondaryconcert=n |
Busted Stuff, Dave Matthews Band
Sketches of Spain Milagro, Abraxas, Santana Forever Delayed , Manic Street Preachers 14 Shades of Grey, Staind Street Signs, Ozomatli When I Woke, Rusted Root Pickin' Up the Pieces: The Best of Average White Band (1974-1980) A Rush of Blood to The Head, Coldplay Tenderness, Al Jarreau The last one usually plays when I'm nodding off to sleep...... |
Where can I get my hands on this? I'm not that psyched about it, but I still want to hear it.
I got Romances from a group of my good internet buddies on Soulseek that always seem to be in-the-know with leaks and such... So it might not be spread around very much yet. I'm Kazzo on Soulseek if you don't mind really slow speeds, otherwise try getting it from [Starscream] or rf2202 or the_lethal_error I guess.
I'm not going to download "Romances"...I much rather buy and and then hear it. From what I heard from the samples...it's gonna be amazing.
I'm finally getting to listen to it now, up to song #6 right now. Oh god, it is amazing. Some parts I'm gonna have to give a few more listens before I can really absorb it all and start diggin' it more, but there's a lot of it that's instantly awesome. |
Not so. The self-titled is excellent. Delirium Cordia, on the other hand, is quite lame.
Well I've only heard half of it, so I can't really judge. But Directors Cut > Delirium Cordia. |
I've noticed this theme appears a lot in your posts, Tangy....
Mr. I'm on Fire Mr. |
That's because Tangy longs for a woman.
Your crazy, I like you man, but your crazy. |

Oh God the harp in "Crepuscle"!
Don't mind me, I'm just going through Romances a second time. This is definitely in the running for album of the year for me. Maybe 2nd or 3rd place, but just by a tidbit. |
I dug out Yank Crime this morning. Do you guys realise the enormity of this bands (drive like jehu) greatness?
|
I finally got around to getting not one, but two Weezer albums yesterday, Blue and Pinkerton. So I've been digging that. Plus a couple of cds from the Conservatiorium Jazz Orchestra. They're quite cool.
|
I borrowed both Nelly Furtado albums from my friend yesterday. I have been meaning to buy both for years (well the new one only since it has been out), and they are both brilliant albums.
|
I'm soooo loving Crimes right now, and I'll review it one of these days. Man, that's gonna be a tough one..
|
Fall of Troy, Symphony X, Rush and Porcupine... I love Porcupine Tree, and probably am going to pick up their album 'Signify' pretty soon, right now I only have 1 song from them I got from Progarchives.com, but they are just sooo good
|
Fall of Troy
 I love you. |
I've only heard Rockstar Nailbomb, and I just got this symphony goin' by the Fall Of Troy, but both were excellent.
|
Ohhh... hear Ghost Ship part 4 on Purevolume. Its insane.
|
I got their self-titled, reviewed it too. :-* I haven't heard the demo yet though(except for Ghostship Part 4, which is awesome). I'm really surprised a lot of people haven't heard them yet.
